But Kosovo Albanians complain they were always oppressed in Yugoslavia/Serbia, yet they rapidly grew in numbers somehow...

rex, do you help your women to bring up children? I guess I could find a solution for Kosovo problem - to press Albanian men to nurse and bring up all children they make. I bet demographic situation in Kosovo will normalize very soon ... In the societies which culture doesn't require that husbands should help their wives bringing up children they (men) usually make them (kids) in unimaginable numbers boasting about their #'s

But Kosovo Albanians complain they were always oppressed in Yugoslavia/Serbia, yet they rapidly grew in numbers somehow... High natality, that's why. In the interwar period, our percentage actualy decreased as a result of forced emigration and colonization. But WWII stopped this trend, and after the war, our higher natality led to our numbers growing. This doesn't mean all was swell and that no opression occured. But I'm sure you already knew this much. I guess you're secretly wishing for us to adopt the Russian model so we may face the same demographic decline as you (and Serbia for that matter) are facing right now?

thracian, I never said I had a problem with Islam, but again because I question the reason and goal's of this empire you assume that I do! I am simply against any group/association or country wanting to rule, and gaining that rule in a negative manner. That is the prob I have, not with Islam, so before you make these kinds of comments; think a little more.

zgembo, I will warm you again; I have done so also privately but you clearly don;t take notice. So it seems you need another warning. I will edit and delete your comments without notice if you continue to behave in an immature manner.

A warning is not a warning when on that first occasion you deleted an entire post of mine for a flimsy reason.
And please don't get into a discussion with me trying to justify that in your uniquely dimwitted way. I'll just ignore you from now on. Let this be the last time I address you.

The ottomans were usually more or less tolerant, but against rebellious nations they were oppressive and malicious

zgembo, your post did not have any substance at all. I have discussed this privately, and at least I let you know what I had done and why. Yes, please do not address me anymore. I would be the happiest woman at this forum if you don't; especially not in the manner that you do. Until you learn to behave like an adult, which I assume you are; keep your comments to yourself.

donnie, That's not Russian, but European/Western model (family planning or birth control - having as many children as you can support and bring up, not as many as you can "make", thus demographic decline at time of troubles), and you are to adopt it in the nearest future since it is the world wide tendency. rex, you avoid my question - did/do you help to nurse your children?

My other quote, was then "to/beside the kangaroos" kod kengure...znas kako ides kod muje..you can go to his hiouse or beside him :-) Na hrvatskom se kaze KLOKAN a na srpskom KENGUR.
