You guys have no right on the name Macedonia, in fact northern greece wasnt called "macedonia" until quite recently, after FYR Macedonia.... What an idiotic statement. But what else can be expected from someone who is an active advocate of many revisionist theories. One can only assume Terroreign has know knowledge of actual history and meareley reads revisionist b.s.

northern greece was named 'Macedonia' in 1988, what are you people talking about...
it doesnt matter if you believe you called the region 'macedonia' in antiquity
in antiquity azerbaijan was called 'albania', so does that give the azeris the right to war against the albanians because they are using their name?
Exact same situation here.

Exact same situation here. B.S. Northern Greece was always called Macedonia by the Greek government. In 1987 (not 88) peripharies (administrative units) in Greeks were established and three of those contain the name Macedonia. So learn some facts. These peripharies were named after regions. Before then Greece was split into 51 peripharies mostly named after cities.

Seriously mate, you should be ashamed of what you have said...this is a new low for you.
You as a Montenegrin has made me really imbrassed like the stupid people of FYROM, it hurts me because the FYROM idiots have a % of serbian origin and all the serbs like myself admire the greek nation. I really get red faced when l see them expressing themselves in that fashion. I will feel no simpathy for these people if they get crushed because they are bringing it onto themselves.

I believe what I said, and so far I don't see any argument against this
Dont take this the wrong way, I dont neccesarily believe that the Slav-speaking macedonians are related to the ancient Macedonians
I just see that they have the right to call themselves Macedonians because they do live in part of ancient Macedonian territory and share ancient macedonian culture
I believe greece should respect that and move on, if they are jealous or sore about it they are free to cry.

"I just see that they have the right to call themselves Macedonians because they do live in part of ancient Macedonian territory and share ancient macedonian culture"
Only approximately 10% of Fyrom's territory was apart of ancient macedonian territory. The culture is not the same as ancient macedonia because the people of fyrom have a culture that is only mixed between bulgarian and serbian. Did the ancient macedonians speak a lanuage which is closer to western bulgarian?
Slavic tribes did settle inside greece like the sagaduti, rinhini etc...but they are not macedonians period!!!!!!!!!
You really need to detract your statement, this was the worst l have heard from you mate.

Actually that part of the territory shouldn't even be called FYROM...just Former Yugoslavic Republic... they do not deserve at all the name Macedonia....if it was during Byzantine times...... we could have just rounded up everyone and spread them all over the Empire.... so they could lose their false ambitions.... but it's 2007... and it has to be done diplomatically...

I believe what I said, and so far I don't see any argument against this Dont take this the wrong way, I dont neccesarily believe that the Slav-speaking macedonians are related to the ancient Macedonians I just see that they have the right to call themselves Macedonians because they do live in part of ancient Macedonian territory and share ancient macedonian culture I believe greece should respect that and move on, if they are jealous or sore about it they are free to cry. Greece should not move on. Here are reasons why: - It is rather common practice that if a region is divided between two countries that the two regions do not have the same name politically. - Initially FYROM refused to compromise. Greece was willing to accept the name Vardar Makedonija before but the FYROMians refused. - Greece should not recognize FYROM under the name Macedonia given that FYROMian irredentists claim northern Greece as being FYROMian and that the government claims Greek figures as part of ethnic FYROMian history and has published irredentist political maps in textbooks and has claimed Greek symbols as FYROMian (i.e. the Vergina sun). Here's another example the FYROM government initially planned to release currency depicting landmarks in northern Greece as FYROMian (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b8/ROM_currency_w_White_Tower.jpg), the landmark is the White Tower of Thessaloniki. - Furtheremore the region of ancient Macedon does not correspond to what is now geographically called Macedonia. The term Maceodnia geographically applies to FYROM, a small section (less then 1000 sq km) of Serbia and Albania, a small section of Bulgaria and northern Greece. Less then 10% of ancient Macedon is in the territory of FYROM, as the below map of ancient Macedon demonstrates:
