Blonde vs. Swarthy

Our fellow Croatian members here will give the best answer, but l believe Croatians are most darkest along the Dalmatian coast and lightest bordering Slovenia and the Slovonia region (high settlement of original slavs). Croatia has a high percentage of dinaricised Neo-Danubian types and higher % Neo-Danubians, similar to slovenians.

Actually, most Dalmatinci and Slavonci are blond. Central Hrvatska, Bosna i Hercegovina, and Istra, are a mix. At least from all of the Croats I know, and from what I've seen.
It differs though. I've got black (curly if long) hair, and my brother is blond.

^ Fair enough MiG, l thought on average that there would be more darker haired individuals on Croatia's Dalmatian region.

the girls in the second picture are not swarthy.
That's a Southern European look.A common look in Southern Europe found in the Balkans,Iberia, the Italian Peninsula and Greece.
Among Europeans,that's the "ethnic,exotic look".

^ you obviously dont know wtf swarthy is. swarthy refers to dark skinned like arabs, and gypsies. look up the definition, silly.
none of the girls above are swarthy. they have at most, a light olive complexion.
there do exist some swarthy croats, though they're small in number. i personally know some croats from the dalmatian hinterland that are naturally very dark skinned, with thick bushy black hair.
i think these genes come from the morlachs (vlachs from dalmatia) who migrated to this region from the deep south of the balkans. vlachs i believe are a mixed race peoples made up of indigenous balkan inhabitants, greeks, arabs and moors, whose ancestors were once slaves from north africa and the middle east in the byzantine empire, and were brought by ships to the port of epirus, who eventually were freed, and then married local greek women, and then migrated northwards and married other indigenous peoples like albanians and others.
so thats why alot of vlachs are swarthy, and because of that vlach component among especially dalmatian hinterland croats, some are swarthy, while most are just with olive complexion and dark hair.
MiG,,....... i disagree that most dalmatian croats are blonde. to me this is absolutely false. i dont know how you came up with that conclusion, but if you go to split, you will see that most croats there are black or dark brown haired, same goes for the dalmatian hinterland, and the dubrovnik region, and korcula island.
sibenik and settlements northwards along the coast to zadar, do have a sizeable amount of blondes, but still most are brunettes.
what i've noticed is central bosnia has a sizeable amount of croats there with blonde or fair hair, but they are still of dinaric stock. croats from western bosnia (livno, duvno/tomislavgrad) tend to be mainly dark haired, and same with most hercegovci

she was called brown because she is a roma. if your sister has the same complexion as that girl in the pic, then obviously your sister is not swarthy, just like you arent. do you understand? you are a roma, but you are not swarthy. your skin is pale. must be that you have a considerable amount of ancestry of non-roma blood, possibly serbian or hungarian ancestry perhaps.

lol, your not swarthy dude. you just copped that crap, because you obviously look mediteranean, whereas germans are nordic, who all have fair skin and fair hair and because you are the minority, they will pick on you.
its the same thing in australia, back in the 70's and 80's, where southern europeans, like italians, greeks, and yugoslavs were called wogs by the anglo-celtic aussies, because of their dark hair and olive skin, which was not found among their own peoples. that together with their foreign culture and food, made these people cop alot of abuse from anglo-celtic aussies. slowly the southern europeans during the 90's started to not be considered outcasts anymore, but in their replacement started to come in the mid 90's waves of middle easterners, indians and africans. these are now considered the new outcasts, especially the muslim ones among them.
wog , comes from the english word "golliwog" , which english people called africans before.

^Same here. When it comes to looks Serbs and Croats are very mixed, both light and dark down the line. With Bosniaks being oddly more consistently lighter. And Montenegrins more consistently darker. Slovenes arent even balkans.

King, maybe when they call you swarthy, they are more referring to your facial features, not just your skin tone. You face looks quite non-European, even though your skin is white.
Balkan people will more likely accept borderline non-European looking people into their society, but the Germanics are not so accepting.
