The Americans are so arrogant its disgusting. They bitch and moan for every call even when they are up 30. Please STFU and play. Your good, win the chip and show some class. I swear even if the Albs were good at sports I would want them to beat the Americans just bc they are so arrogant and classless.

About the 3rd spot game we lost it, clearly for known reason. We couldn't recover so fast from lets say "at least suspicious match", players were tired and Lithuanians used that well. Our players were out of focus at both side. Understandable since they are all about 21-24 years except two guys who are 27. Well if you count in all the troubles we encountered before and during this tournament you can call it success, on other side if you look basketball history of Yugoslavia basketball team its clearly bad result. Well he states he is of Bosnian origin, but if it makes u feel good to think of him as Serbian so be it. In addition I don't watch must basketball, so I can't decide about the ref's, all I can say is, the Serbs shot some amazing 3 pointers, whereas we missed even the easiest shots until the last minutes. Must have been 80 mill praying for them to win! America if they beat us.... ok well its the first time in our history that was are in the Final that still makes me VERY proud w/e... Bosnian is just territorial designation of people from either Serb or Croat nationality. No matter if they are Christian or Muslim. Well, about that game its also a shame how some of your players acted. Making the pressure at ref's and then the guy that faked the injury in order not to shoot the free throw in the moments where game was deciding. This is exactly the reason I will cheer for USA today If they acted like "Ok, ref's are letting us win, lets just play fair" I wouldn't have nothing against your team

desire, the whole experience, as i get it from the TV, is that you are a totally albanian/chechen nation with no connection to real sports. The faces i see from the turkish fans and their reactions are all laughable. Now turkoglu, means sons of a turk? it means someones who tries to convince for smth he is not. During your national anthem, Ilyasova cannot sing... cause he is not a turk, but a Russian. Now Erden? is this a turk face? no way... the guy looks like a lithuanian to my eyes. Asik? does he look turk? no way...
not to talk about Tanijevic!!! (if he is "bosnian" or "serbian" i'll let your highness to decide lol)

Ilyasova is an Ozbek Turk born and grew up in Turkey Turkoglu is a Bosnian, who was born and grew up in Turkey
By the way Who are you anyway? are you a Turkologist to decide who looks like a Turk or not?
In fact THOSE MEN decide to say they are Turks. so I don't care what u think.
I am a Turk, but I can't sing the national anthem, what kind of kindergarten criteria are you using? only if u know the anthem.. you can be a Turk niahaha
LOL funny.

This topic is supposed to be fun, and sport also is suppose to be fun, to put away our thought from politics, problems etc. Erden's family is from Sjenica(at one moment if you saw replay of one foul here vs USA here he said: "u picku materinu" ;D), Turkoglu's from Novi Pazar. That's what they told here for interview for our medias. Beside Turkoglu even speaks Serbian fluently Ilyasova is Kazakh, which is basically Turk as I got impression. Final thought over final game...Well like I said, it was pretty one sided game, and two man I mentioned solved the game. Durant in 1st and Odom in 2nd half. Anyway, this is big success for Turkey as in some other ground they probably wouldn't reach even semi-final game

So why should any Serb favor your team over USA's? the fact that you have at least 3-4 serbian speakers in your team, is not enough PS Erden said " u picku materinu" LMAO!!! raised in Turkey? Hidayet Turkoglu is Serbian? I don't think so, his roots are of Bosnian Muslim, are there any Bosnian muslim Serbs? There are. For example Mehmed Mesa Selimovic, Emir Kusturica.

And I would also like to add:
Mirsad Türkcan (in Serbian: Мирсад Туркџан, Mirsad Turkdžan) (born June 7, 1976) is a Turkish professional basketball player. At 2.06 m (6'9") in height, Türkcan plays the power forward position.
Born Mirsad Jahović (Мирсад Јаховић) to Bosniak parents in Novi Pazar, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia, he changed his family name to Türkcan when he moved to play basketball in Turkey. At the same time, he also obtained Turkish citizenship and started playing international basketball for Turkey.

Kemal Kutlu: Sandžaklije the famous basketball in Turkey One of the volunteers in the World Championship in Turkey, Kemal Kutle, who is originally from Bijelo Polje, said that Turkey's celebrated basketball players from Serbia and Montenegro and Sandzak. Kutlu, whose married name Šehović, was born in Istanbul, but he knows very well that his roots are from Serbia, and most players who have played or play for Turkey. Kutlu is the chief occupation of securing the factory Philip Morris in Istanbul, a hobby train local club Sandzak case in which he played and his son. - I was born in Istanbul, but until his seventh year I spoke Turkish, as we waved, what would you say settlement numbered some 75,000 people from the former Yugoslavia. We all spoke Serbian and my grandfather died, and did not learn a word of Turkish. Our original surname was Šehović, and the same end is raised and Hido Turkoglu, who is originally from Tit, and the last name is Ramićević. We taught him to play basketball at the local field, and now we do not know. But, that's when you hit millions in the head - said Kutlu. He points out that there would be no basketball in Turkey have not appeared Bosniaks in Serbia, who brought with him a sports culture, which was the foundation of later success. - The Turks have developed the culture of sport and claim that we, who are originally from the former Yugoslavia, or Serbia, brought the culture. Here it is normal that children do not do sports, and when I went with relatives in Bijelo Polje as a kid, there was thought that the child is disabled if you do not practice anything. Here, now in Turkish volleyball have at least 70 percent, and 90 percent of basketball people who are originally from Sandzak, Bijelo Polje, Prijepolje, Tit, Tutin. Turkey would never win a silver medal in the EP that was not the players. Here, in this place of Turkey has a number of players originating from Serbia. Besides Turkoglua, there is Semih Erden, Ender Arslan, Sinan Guler, Omer Asik. All these may be born here but their parents are from Sjenica, Tutin, Novi Pazar, Rozaje, Bijelo Polje and all speak Serbian - explains Kutlu. He says he is determined to send his son to one of the many basketball camps in Serbia, where they perfected and Serbian.

Shonic, amazing info. Shocking info. I cannot imagine Greek basketball if we were 80,000,000 ppl, and i definitely cannot imagine how high Yugoslav basketball would be if Yugoslavs were 80,000,000.

I don't see the big deal about their place of origin, since Turkish is a combination of various ethnicities which includes, Ex Yugoslavian(Serb, Croat, Bosniak), Albanian, Greek, Kurdish, Zaza, Yoruk, Bulgarian, Ozbek, Khazak, Laz, Georgian and so much more... Just as the USA is composed of different ethnicities but all are Americans, the same with all the above who want to say so are TURKS. Man I am so bored of these stupid ethnic claiming wars... If they want to they can play for Serbia or for Turkey or whoever they feel like.. At the end of the day your so called Ethnic Serbians with an ethnic Serbian manager, kicked out the Serbian National team from the tournament, i doubt they give a damn about their ethnicity, they care about where the money is

However , I totally agree with you. Unfortunately this is common place where I'm from. These petty ethnic-based arguments, claiming land and people without any regard to what actually exists in reality. People like you probably look at us and go , my god , what the hell is wrong with these people? And you're right , we are pretty psychologically messed up. Individuality means little in these parts which is a damn shame.

^^^ countries based on attracting foreigners, on the basis of "where the money is" are destined to disappear. PS It was neither the muslim serbs nor the serbian manager who kicked out the Serbian team. It was the referees who were afraid of getting beaten by the islamist chechen mob. We even witnessed at times that the turkish team was trying deliberately to provoke trouble in the court hoping that this would "heat-up" the hungry crowd of mudjahedins.
