which pic? mine or the OP's? Yours Yes Crete. typical cretan (ancient greek) villager : and an older man: I am originally from north-west Greece but i was lucky to study in the holy land of TRUE GREEKS - CRETE. They have by far the most advanced civilization in Greece, very rich in everything, i would say they could match lets say 30-40% of what the Serbs have in terms of mentality, folklore, dances, spirit, joy, efficiency in agriculture, arts, etc..... The rest of romio-vlaho-albano-Greeks (and albanians) do not even match 5% of the Serbs. Basically, Cretans speak greek NATURALLY, as if it always was their mother language. In contrast, vlahs and albanians and romio-albano-vlaho-greeks is apparent that their contact with greek language does not have real solid foundations and is only a recent trait. That is why many modern lost greko-vlah-albanians like Kastor, seem completely lost and try to find meaning in remote and irrelevant asian empires (like the east roman empire was). They are lost just like albanians who try to find roots in totally irrelevant nations which whom they share nothing. Most todays greko-vlahs and albano-greko-vlahs and albanians were brought by the byzantines to replace the slavs. That is why they never bothered to rename the old slavic toponomys left there by the slavs before them. In greece the effort to grekify the toponyms started ONLY AFTER 1926!!!!! LOL!!! which means that for 1500 years the toponyms were 100% slavic!!! This does not seem very indigenous to my eyes... What is happening today in Kosovo, started to happen in Greece in 900 AD+ when the slavs were fought and displaced by this asian empire. The slavs moved north, and they kept moving north till today (in kosovo).

suffice to say that i am more TRUE greek (intelligent) and more SERB (brave) than you. Greek and Serb are nationalities, not adjectives. Greek and Serb as you set it is just letters on a paper. I already explained that "Greek" might have MANY meanings (unfortunately).

so you are a greek who resents being greek and instead desperately try to be a serb... And while doing this, you dare to compare our culture (which has produced thousands of things crucial to the world heritage) to the serbian or slav culture? LOL, just LOL...

LOL, just LOL... as i suspected, you did not comment on my views ON CRETE, which shows how much of*greek you are. Look why am i BIG Greek. Because i provide smth that no one else did before: A) A TRUE LIVING GREEK PARADIGM TO FOLLOW : CRETE B) A TRUE NATURAL SYSTEM OF healthy competition with the rest balkan indo-european cultures All else have either spoken negatively of Crete or the rest of the balkans, which is pure lunacy. So, not only am i Greek, but i am ... maybe the ONLY GREEK.

in short we have to go all the way from
---> albania (where we are currently : just look at the recent riots by the taxi drivers !!!!! LOL!!!!) ---> Crete ---> Serbia-Bulgaria (in some aspects Bulgarians are better than Serbs, in some others the other way around) ---> Europe
it is a long way.... which might last more than 300 years IMHO

"maybe the ONLY GREEK" who resents being one and chooses to be a serb... And FYI, crete isn't the only place where greeks live... you can even find greeks in trabzon(trebizond)...

Pyros, there is nothing wrong with being Greek, especially if you're proud. Just b/c you do not like how history unravelled for your people doesn't mean you should abandon them totally.
Be the example you want to see in Greeks, and STOP calling yourself Serb just b/c you know the history.

Derk, I don't think you understand. It's not about "accepting" him, it's about pointing out the flaw in his beleifs. He comes off sometimes like a fascist while he's thinking he is speaking on behalf of Serbs. He should take care of his own, before moving towards us.
IF anything, he should be ranting about a Serbo-Greek alliance.

So, i'll take the feasible path, the realistic one which is best for me and my kids and try to fight for the good of the great slavic nation, to which my kids belong to. if my kids were half cretan, most probably i would be fighting for the independence of Crete right now. But luck brought me to this path, to get in touch with this great nation (greater than Crete), so i invest my energy here. simply... again... so simply. ps i ain't no fascist man...

And LOL: you should thank the turks for that. if we were 100% FREE most probably half of us would end up slavicized like the vlahs of makedonia. and i am not a serb wanna be, i believe in what my heart feels more comfortable. now pls, you gotta try very hard before you try to consume any more from my time.

you need a good psyxologos. maybe you meant "psychiatros"? most of the residents of athens (about 5 mils, more than half the greek population) do need a therapist. luckily i dont. Now wear your proud "foustanela" or .... bouratzana and dance those nice ancient greek dances of kastoria under the sound of the ancient greek clarinet... lol!!! oopsss i should have written "byzantine" instead lol
