I just saw Dark Knight and I will watch it again tonight on Imax. Other then that i have been renting a number of foreign films from netflix. I saw 7 Samurai, which was great. Battle Royale, another Japanese film which was just freaking awesome, 4 Months, 3 weeks and 2 days, which was okay, I didnt feel that it went anywhere, Goodbye Lenin, a fun German film...

Lionsgate Wants A PG-13 Punisher: War Zone? latinoreview.com — Following up on an earlier article, one of my contacts deep within the bowels of Hollywood and close to the Punisher: War Zone project (source will not be named. Sorry!) told me today that the big fight over the Punisher project is Lionsgate wants a PG-13 cut to be released. Just saw the movie "The World's Fastest Indian" and was on the edge of my couch. Great movie.
Anthony Hopkins was perfect for the role as "Burt Munro" great movie and recommended. Based on true story of a mans dream to break the worlds land speed record on a streamlined motor cycle.

I figure there is no thread designated for Movies. Or anything of that sort, besides the sub-section for Serb-Films, Greek or Albanian. This is a general thread for anyone who wants to a post a movie they recently saw and think others' should take a look into it. Could be anything/ doesn't have to be Balkan, specificially. i'll start... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffee_and_CigarettesThis movie is based on 11 short stories somehow always referring to that one-line "Coffee and cigarettes". Real good cast and random too. From Bill Murray to GZA and RZA. I found it real cool and different.

I've always been a big fan of the movie "π" (Pi). It's not a very recent movie or a big Hollywood production, but none of that takes away from the cinematography or the storyline which are classic. It's more of thinking movie, shot in black and white and little grainy, so it's not something you would watch for the big special effects of cheesy happy endings. Kickass soundtrack only helps.

i wasn't completely sold on rock n rolla but it was a good step in the right direction after the big flop Revolver, he should make a sequel to Snatch, that movie was this generations pulp fiction, a gangster masterpiece.

I just saw "Lock, Stock, & B" last night for the first time; it was pretty entertaining movie. when you talk guy ritchie movies, people immediately think Snatch because it was a commercial success and it was a smashing movie but lock stock and two smoking barrels is ritchie's reservoir dogs, just like when tarantino grabs people's attention with pulp fiction, up until then reservoir dogs had gone unnoticed, then people dug deeper and found an absolute gem.
