I believe Tudjman in what he is saying, but as you noticed, the Bosniak army leaders were very confident they can make gains. So could have they? I say absolutley.
The problem is that countries like Britain and France were afraid of a muslim state. So, even if we made gains, I think they would step in, and give back any gains. So it would be a pointless attempt by us.
Personally, I think ALL sides saw that there was going to be an end to the war, and when it was finished, you were going to have a claim to certain land, but a fair share of it. Serbs had an idea which areas to carve out for themselves, and Bosniaks/Croats knew which areas they should protect.

I think that Bosnia would be a better place today if all of it’s territory had been liberated. Croats would have returned to Posavina, Bosniaks to Podrinje and Serbs would no longer be a destructive force. The federation would have 4 or 5 Serb dominated cantons and everyone would work for a better future in BiH.

Cinjenica da si ti balija, podrazumjeva se da ti sve o izdajicama znas i razumijes. Tako ste vi muslimani naravno nastali za vrijeme otomanske imperije (izdajice/poturice srpske). Hajde postojite jedno 300-400 godina.

What's done is done. You cannot change it, but only speculate on it. Quit insulting eachother, and have an intelligent fucking conversation? For once? Not in one single post other than Marko's did I not see an insult. C'mon guys, I'm sure you're better people than that.

I was thinking the other day had the Americans not prevented the HV from taking Banja Luka what would the situation in BiH be like today? At first i thought, BiH would have been the second Croatia, a EU candidate, negotiating its way toward full membership, maybe even a member of NATO. But what i didnt factor in was the status of each of the ethnic groups ... as a result of the fall of Banja Luka. Would have the muslims dominated over the whole territory of BiH, while giving both the Croats and Serbs minority status. The answer most probably.Maybe and i repeat maybe taking Banja Luka wouldnt have been the best thing to do? What do u think ? The Americans and allied coalition forces were directing the entire operation Cikola. Not sacking Banja Luka was already predetermined. The goal of Operation Storm wasn't to defeat the Serbian forces, it was to implement a 'balance' of forces in the region. The agreement the Croatian government struck with the West as far as taking over the Serb Knin republic would probably not have happened if the Croats also demanded to take over Banja Luka. It would've created a imbalance in the region and would've have made peace ( cease fire) terms harder to come by. It is not surprising that the Croatians in Bosnia did not get their own separate entity like the Serbs did. It is very likely that over time the Croats and Serbs of Bosnia would lose their constitutive status. Ironically, the Serb Republic in Bosnia stands as the great equalizer in the region. It helps ensure that Bosnia remains free of domination from one particular ethnic group which Western powers feel could trigger another war. The same is true for the X-Knin republic in Croatia. Dethroning Serbs of political hegemony in the region was planned out for long term stability in Croatia. This is not a defense of the quasi-state of RS or the continuity of Croatian state. It is simply an explanation of political motives. The method about which the current demographic make up of these regions came about is a profoundly moral question that hopefully will be answered and understood one day.
