The only reason why bosnianserbs still open topics like this one is because they know that Bosnia was never Serbia and that they are the ones who have confused religion with ethnic and national identity. Bosnians or Bosniaks of all 3 religions are mostly ethnic Illyrians, we do speak a south-slavic language, but ethnically we are Illyrians from Bosnia who happened to be divided because peasants have confused religion with ethnicity and nationality. And because local traitors seem to think that the interests of Serbia and Croatia are more important then those of mother Bosnia. No this isn't the case. Bosniaks are always trying to downplay religion in cultural/ethnic identity. That's what should be questioned, not Serbs trying to overvalue it. It's such a crap excuse whenever Muslims try to downplay religion in identity. Why are there no Serbian Muslims yet you think that Serbian Orthodox Serbs could belong to a Bosniak identity? Lets see, we had this old pagan custom that became slava. Then the Turks came along, Orthodoxy went undrground & the priest had to go to Serbian houses to conduct private services. This of course was happening on both sides of the Drina. Serbs stayed home, revered Serbian Orthodox saints like Sveti Sava, but at the same time according to Bosniaks we supposedly had some Bosniak identity which even if it exhisted away from Serbdom must have been very week. And regardless of religion anyway, the Serbian identity was always present in Bosnia before Islam. I think moreso than any Bosniak identity... before the Turks came along. That's why the Bosnian bans said they used the Serbian language, passed laws distinguishing Serbs & Tvrtko was the King of Serbs... The pre-Ottoman "Bosniak" identity is completely questionable. You Muslims seem to think that national identity should be determined by bulls**t borders. No, it's determined culturally. f**k borders. And you know what, you know that we are never ever ever ever going to call ourselves Bosnians other than as a geographical reference point, & a geographic entity is what that name always meant to anyone but yourselves.

Manjak, that speech of yours, it was like it was written by some guy hired by the american embassy. Note the violent disposition of Serbs from Sarajevo, compare it with the thousands of muslims living (always) in beograd, open your firefox, edit your message, globally change beograd/sarajevo globally change serbs/bosnian slav muslims and you are close to the truth. What's sad is that Americans know the truth better than you.

Reality check. If you really want to find out what the people 'are,' simply look at genetic testing and DNA information. Anyone with a clue about the science of genetics knows that genes are not classified according to national or ethnic identities, especially modern ones. Genes have been around since the dawn of life, not national borders or ethnic groups. An objective history of people in Bosnia would be a naturalistic one. It is no surprise that the people of Bosnia share a common genetic lineage with each other despite ethnic or religious labels. They also share similarities with peoples across borders in all directions. All that can be said objectively is that these people all share a relatively recent common ancestor, no ethnicity implied. In the naturalistic sense, calling someone a Bosniak , Serb , or Croat doesn't hold a lot of credibility and is irrelevant. That being said, in terms of literal and cultural history ( inherently subjective), the Bosniaks are probably closest related to the Croats and probably were part of the same medieval corpus of people as them. Most history I have read about the region seems to indicate this. But again, in the true naturalistic and objective sense, ethnic groups are meaningless. No one has the time nor resources to test the DNA of over 20,000,000 people.

? lol where did u get this buddy? ;D I though that Bosnian Serbs consider all Bosniaks as Turk or Croats, now u call them Serbs? it's doesnt make sense. Bosnians, Bosniaks are different identity, they have nothing but nothing to do with Serbs, same how Croats have nothing to do with Serbs either. Bosnians identity was already well existed in the region even when Hungarians occupied Bosnia long ago. Bosniak and Croats are more closer to each other than Serbs, Bosniak and Croat language is more identical than Serbian language. oopp oh yes i forgot to say something. Im part Serb too hahahha, nothing has stopped me become Hungarian or Magyar, same goes with many Hungarians who have Serb anchestry, that why u can still find Hungarians with their last name "ics or ic" even today. They dont even want to speak a word of Serbian. I hope all Serbs wont call us traitors, a person can be what they want to be, they can be Chinese or Black Russian if they want. ;D like i said before, Croats have nothing at all to do with Serbs or Serb kins. Croats categorise as Hungarians kins are more understandable, Hungarians categorise as Croat kins is also understandable, but not Serb. really Skoric? have u ever wondered that Serbs are the product of Russian poo?
