Why does this concern Albanians? Did any Albanians die? Or ,do you want me to whip out the link again where it says Albanians scaled the walls of Psara to attack helpless civilains and children. 17,000 people got butchered by hideous Mohammedan Albanians... I call them hideous cause it's the same dickheads that praise Scanderbeg for fighting the Turks..... you get my drift? This fuggen guys forgot what themselves have perpetrated upon others..... Are you trying to tell us that you greeks today have the mentality of the 18th century Kanaris? Because comparing two events that are 200 years apart I don't think make too much sense. But anyway, that's what happened in Psara: There were ample means for succouring the islanders, as subsequent events proved; but when the Turkish admiral, Khosrew, with 10,000 men on board, appeared before Psara, the Greek fleet was far away. The Psariotes themselves were over-confident. They trusted to their batteries on land, and believed their rocks to be impregnable. They were soon undeceived. While a corps of Albanians scaled the cliffs behind the town, the Turks gained a footing in front, and overwhelmed their gallant enemy by weight of numbers. No mercy was asked or given. Eight thousand of the Psarians were slain or carried away as slaves. Not more than one-third of the population succeeded in escaping to the neighbouring islands. www.fullbooks.com/History-of-Modern-Europe-1792-187811.htmlI don't see any numbers to match with your number there, and it doesn't say that were albanians that killed or enslaved the civilians. They were part of the ottoman army and not the majority. We don't have to go that far back to see what happened with albanian chams in Greece, just because they were Muslims: Cameria was a region in Northern Greece populated mostly by Albanian Muslims. These Muslims suffered the most cruellest atrocities during their ethnic cleansing by Greek Fascists. Beginning Tuesday June 27, 673 men women and children were killed in the town of Paramithia. In Gumenica, 192 persons were killed and in the towns of Margellic and Parga, 626 people met their deaths at the hands of the Greek gangs. In the town of Filat, 1,286 persons were killed during the period June, 1944, to March, 1945. Hundreds of persons went missing. In all, 2,877 Albanian men, women and children were massacred, 475 women were raped and 68 small villages were razed to the ground including 5,800 houses and places of worship (110 Mosques). After March, 1945, the remaining Albanian Muslims (Around 30,000) were expelled from their ancestral lands and forced to flee to Albania or Turkey. members.iinet.net.au/~gduncan/massacres.html#Greece

my anger expired at 12am tonight ...
whoever made me angry is forgiven...
I can't hide: I was stunned by these videos. We knew Greeks were pro Serbs and we knew why. (Religion BS...the most idiocy ever) What I didn't know is that Greeks were blind or played the blind. Since when in the name of the God, Greek Government initiated to hide the truth of what was happening in there? There was nothing or very little written about the atrocities of Serbs against the innocent victims. Greece to welcome the nr. 1 criminal in Balkans! Greeks, I appreciate your good will to help the "friend" under any circumstances, but your choice this time was wrong. Something tells me it is not friendship...rather than hate against Bosnians (Muslims) and Albanians. It is this strong feeling that made Greece make a bad choice this time. Shame for shame!
Arxileas, could you bring some sources for those Talibans and Turkish volunteers that fought in the region as antipod of Greeks who fought for Serbs?

What's you point.... an Albanian opened this thread..? Those Chams paid in blood for what their forefathers did all over Greece... an eye for eye..... Please Kanaris, I thought age makes people wiser ...how can you put the blame on the people just because their forefathers did something stupid? Common sense tells us that chams, if they did something that wasn't the right thing to do, they didn't do it out of nothing. After all we are all humans, and the last thing we need is fighting each-other because of non-sense reasons like religion. Greeks at that time, of course didn't think this way. They didn't like chams just because they were Muslims, and I believe that, because I see you guys here, even today, you put religion over human life, which is the most pathetic thing to even think of, not to do it, like you did in Bosnia... The bad news are that you haven't changed much unfortunately...look at your posts...it's really sad.

You are not seeing the big picture.... just looking at one pinpoint like usual..I never heard you say once ..yeah we fuked up... no ...it's the same bull all the time.... I post one of many many events that Albanians committed all over the Aegean during the Ottoman times... and even though the figure of 17,000 is marked in a lot of links concerning the Psara Massacre... you come up with the figure of 7,000 ..and make it seem like they had it coming to them and absolutely wave through the fact that Mohammed ALbs were the perpetrators ... then to top off you have the audacity to throw in my face what happened to the Chams..... Whats the matter with you ,I thought you were someone that would understand this square and fair?
People don't change they just shut up sometimes.. and they read all the crap that Albanians write in here and then they start me up again... something like alcohol. What you supposed to be saying... is 'yeah Kanaris.. we hated and still hate one another..we did awful things to one another we are both guilty"

Kanaris, that would do....but I'd rather go for: "both parts are not innocent"...for guilty sounds too harsh...

Sorry Kanaris, I didn't mean to piss you off on friday night... Anyway, if we both see the big picture, on the same screen, not on different screens, we'll see that we haven't fought each-other as albanians and greeks, but as muslims and christians. Don't forget, back then was an empire called ottoman empire, and this empire used to force people to fight for her, and these people weren't only albanians, but from all over the countries that they invaded, even greeks sometimes. So why do you point out only the albanians, when these albanians, as I said were forced to fight for the turks? Well, I guess there is an answer. All the greek history after the greek revolution is all about it, its about finding an excuse to justify the genocide of the people that weren't greeks out of Greece as you did with chams and other non-greek population in Greece...

^^ The key is not to forget and to pass on what you know to your children, so when the right time comes, the right kind of anger will be triggered and the proper reaction will surface making those who deserve to pay... pay...
