The answer to Ljubotan's question is that the differences between S. Serbs & the rest is like the diference between rural Kentucky & Ohio, its about mentality & mannerisms. Im from the South, I speak the pcinjski dialect, standard Serbian, the macedonian dialect & used to speak the 'shop' idiom.

"Now about temperatures, i would take the -10 do -3 in Vranje or predejane (not to mention Beograd, Novi Sad, Brcko or Bijeljina) any time!"
Too cold man, l would freeze my nuts off.
"Its too humid in the Mediterranean. Give me a cool mountain breeze any day."
I would actually like the mediterranean more, you can sit back and have a cold beer in the nice warm sun ;D

They're women are kinky, what can I say.
But no seriously, I don't I was just pointing out a fact. Tell me what I said implies any particular love towards Bulgarians whatsoever? Anyways, I do like them alot more than any fucking Poles or Russians who I basically don't have shit in common with.

Also the comparison with russians is wrong, Serbs are about 10M, the size of a russian province, you cant compare apples and oranges. Thing here is that even remote slav ppl like poles are extremely similar to yugoslavs (a visit to a polish food market will convince anyone). In the lack of argeta/carnex/jelen pivo/kajmak we always get our "serb-like" food from polish markets... guys accept the simple fact, you talk/behave/think/eat/live like the majority of slavs, stick to those qualities and stop being funked by the germanics.

Pyrros, how many times have you actually tried Polish food? Not much if I judge by your posts. Serb cuisine is great. Polish is not. I don't know on the basis of what you have decided that they are the same but they have little in common. Sausages are different, salads are different, pickles in Poland are sweet and taste awful, in fact I don't see what is there to compare. Not to mention that portions in Poland simply suck. Steaks some in the quantity of 100 g accompanied by tons of potatoes while in Serbia it is the oposite.

Also meat/soups/corba look very similar too. Maybe Bulgarians are more close to serbs than poles i dont know that. The way for ppl to get to know each other is travel/exhibitions/commerce, serbs/bulgarians should try to get stick to their similarities than vice versa. BTW, is there any cool place in w. bulgaria close to the Serb border? Maybe we go there one time.

Pasteta is pig liver paste in English and I buy here in Canada all the time (albeit its no Carnex).
I just think South Slavs differ greatly from North Slavs and other than similar languages, there isn't much at all that we really share with them.

srbobran, once said that a greek village in Chios reminds him of Krusevac, on another note he said that japanese cars suck, he quotes "Ionnais Metaxas" whereas his name was "Ioannis Metaxas", and today he refers to poles as "fucking" poles...
sorry, but very often i find srbobran's statements wrong...
