Thanks Teuta...
You see how it is? Like I said there's 1000 year gap where you won't be able to find much on Albanians...

You're welcome Canaris
yes,,,there is a huge gap...but since there is NOTHING mentioned, means that there is NOT mentioned even any Albanian's arrival either. That's what makes me not lose the hope that Albanians are: - included in Byzantine and Roman Empire and part of it -and there lies the secret of the continuing "link" of Illyrians and Alb. Since the gap is mysterious and there is not anybody who can tell Albs. arrived in this and/or that date or filling that gap with some other nationality except those who were in Balkan back then (exluding Serbs and Otomans)...I am assuming is simply not discovered yet and not that didn't exist. So far what is left is the linguistic aspect and I have put all my hopes on it.

www.thelatinlibrary.com/historians/thucydnotes/epid*mnus.htmlThe modern Durazzo, formerly called Epid*mnus (Epid*mnos); a town in Greek Illyria, on a peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. It was founded by the Corcyreans and received the name of Epid*mnus; but since the Romans regarded this name as one of bad omen, reminding them of d*mnum, they changed it into Dyrrhachium. Leo, if you're still around, this is about the dumbest thing to call Illyria... "Greek Illyria". It's either greek or Illyria..not both..lolol..like calling the Arvanites...Albanian greeks. lolol

AlbQ...you're to defensive to contribute to this thread.... don't be .... there's no reason.... The reason is to find the truth I guess (that's what I think at least), but as I see the truth is what everybody believes and not what is really true...

I am not implying that Albanians didn't exist in the Balkans... what I am implying is ,how did they keep so low and out of sight?I guess no one bugged them so they stayed low... and when the turks came ..... that surely woke them up..... and actually split them up too.... we owe some gratitude to the Christian albs that helped us in our struggle.....

Talking about the truth again Kanaris...the truth is based on facts, and of course you greeks got a lot of facts to support your existence in the places where you live (South Albania not included ...) So far we albanians to prove our existence in our lands, got some mentioning from ancient authors (we might see more in the future, you never know), but not enough to call them facts, but on the other hand there are no facts to prove that we haven't been there, where we live today I mean, or we moved in the area from some other remote place, so this case can't be closed by simply ignoring our existence between 100-1000 ad.
