What do you mean by "we are not social human beings'? Not social meaning not social in the way that it allows us to make up a good society. For example: we do not care for the society and for others wellbeing. We will not do anything for the society as a whole unless there is personal gain involved. I exclude here the closest relative and friends. As far as our relations to them, we are most social. We care about them, much more than the northern Europeans. However, outside of our world we will do nothing for the whole, the society. Its very common for example, in Sofia people live in great buildings, if u enter in their homes, you may think you are in Paris. And outside of the building there is no road!!!! The state is poor, but the Bulgarians are not (at least some of them), but they ll never gather money to build one. Very few are those people (rich) who would build a bibliothek, an university or a garden just to please some uknowns. I must say that the case previously, before communism was not such. In a way yes, we care too much what people think - as I said closest neighbours, relatives or friends. Outside of this minisociety I d say we are antisocial. Depends how you define social. They ll do things for everyones well being just because they feel the need. We wont. We ll do everything for our cousins, sisters, friends. Individually. But not to the imaginative society. I never said lower. We as individuals are even cleverer. However we are traditionalist (keep close links with friends, relatives) and individualist in the wrong way (we dont care about society as a whole). I hope you are right. Still, I think its time to start thinking for the others, for the nation, for the state.

I hope you are right. Still, I think its time to start thinking for the others, for the nation, for the state. I think the biggest mistake of the former communist countries was not to make a smooth transition from a centrally planned economy to a market economy like China is doing. We thought we could change things overnight and the end result is what you described above, a people that only cares about themselves but not the community as a whole. I can't speak for other countries but in Albania we used to clean our neighborhoods once a week during the communist rule but now garbage piles everywhere and god forbid somebody lifts a finger to do anything about it. Or if someone stole state property there were severe consequences which in the most extreme cases resulted in the death penalty. Now everyone is out to grab anything they can from the state and there are no consequences whatsoever.

What type of intelligence is being debated here? Intellectual, or emotional?
perhaps you can break it down even more?..
I think that perhaps emotional intelligence needs to be improved in the Balkans and surrounding areas, but intellectually from what I have seen, they are above that of Europe

What does crudeness have to do with anything? Some of the most brilliant scientist and researchers were crude as crude can get.

Who said you're crude? Brilliant people are sometimes eccentric... which shows they cannot function under normal circumstances..
You're just a dumbass... who reads a lot of books and jerks off a lot. ;D

I would say that the cartoon if anything is showing a lack of intelligence (perhaps lack of emotional intelligence) on the part of the Dane that made it. Salmon Rushdie wrote so called 'satanic verses' back in the day and was met with Iranian fatwa. That was a lengthy book that many Muslims did not probably even read yet made them enraged now image making a simplistic cartoon which is clearing mocking your prophet and which takes second to see.
Perhaps it was a death wish. (or cheap attempt to become known while lacking intelligence)

I bet he wouldn't have the balls to say it towards muslim or African countries. you obviously havent seen the quote by Sarkozy on Africans and you havent seen what Theo Van Gogh,Ayaan Hirsi Ali,Geert Wilders and other prominent Europeans said about Muslims.

Did you read the article? Somebody tried to kill him!! I don't think he or any other Dane will be speaking their mind when it comes to muslims again for a long while. I disagree. The rise in popularity of the far right movement throughout Western Europe can only be attributed to Moslems and African immigrants. It started with Jorg Haider in Austria but it's spreading like wildfire. The Swiss are banning minarets for crying out loud. The moslem radicalism, while scary at first, has radicalized in turn the perennically liberal Dutch, Swiss, and Scandinavians. I'm expecting things to get worse actually. There's a religious war brewing in Western Europe.

Well said Donnie.
Balkan people also have many admirable traits that Westerners seem to be lacking. For example, my Balkan friends tend to be way more honest, trustworthy, and straightforward with me than my Western friends.
As for the whole "Westerners are Pussies" thing, I don't think that's true either, they wouldn't have basically conquered the world if they didn't have the balls to do it. However, I know for a fact that if any Balkan country was getting swamped with foreigners to the point where the existence of their people looks threatened in the future (for example, I honestly think there won't be white people in Canada in the near future), we would do a lot more than just draw a silly cartoon about it.
That being said, Western society on the whole is obviously superior to Balkan, they do have better eductation, instutions etc. but the article is clearly biased.
