epirus was melting pot of different tribes Wrong because then southern Albania must be also a melting pot of different tribes. Epiros and south Albania is Alpine by the paleolithic times=natives. Greek Epirotes are pelasgians, I don't know what the Albanian Toscs are.

it is wrong to state that epirus had a homogenous population back in the day, not sure what the people were in ancient times, however i find it hard to believe there was only one race/tribe that dwelled there, but if we are talking about pre-ottoman times and later it was dominated heavily by an albanian speaking population, it was regarded as a region in which albanians dwelled and the word arberia and epirus were interchangeable by the contemporaries

So then also southern Albania was not homogenous but racially mixed with a lot and many different ethnicities, right? Epiros was always Greek and the name "Albania" didn't exist in antiquity, but as an Albanian Nationalist that you are you try to claim greek grounds for albanian. Same behavior like Scopjan Fyromian Slavs.

I blow a fart on your comments .....what the Fyromanians are trying to do is what Greeks accomplished just 100 and some years ago ...so bugger off with your Greek this and Greek that One Europe, many nations: a historical dictionary of European national groups James Minahan Greenwood Publishing Group, 2000 Albanians are among the most ancient ethnic groups in Southeastern Europe, calling themselves Shiptars or Shqipetars (Sons of the Eagle). They are thought to be the descendent from ancient Illyrian and Thracian peoples who settled the Balkan Penisula long before the Greeks. "Considered the original inhabitants of the Balkan Penisula, the Albanians have inhabited the region since before the rise of the ancient Greeks. Illyrian culture is believed to have evolved from the Stone Age, and to have flourished in the region toward the biginning of the Bronze Age,about 2000 B.C."
... Ancient Illyria and Epirus were known to the people of the Mediterranean.

Europe is slowly realizing that Greece's capital Athens is the same Arbanit village it tried to reconstruct in the 1800's (with some infrastructure modifications). The villagers? LAOS party is in the current new government with Mr. Karatzaferi (a Liap last name) and Mr. Arvanitopoulos as the deputy minister of education. Isn't it time to bring the Arvanites back to their true selves and true roots?

I don't understand these arguments half the f**king time, Europeans are the most sub racially mixed in the world. Only the European or Caucasian race is so mixed in looks and colourings. All the other races look the same pretty much.

Neolithic is from the Stone Age. Greeks were around before the Stone Age and Greece is and has been apart of Neolithic migration. All that proves is that Albanians are Pontid and has Alpines.

Same behavior like Scopjan Fyromian Slavs. this is pointless, we're on even on the same wavelength, everything is greek to you, even though all respected anthropologists and historians claim otherwise...all i am saying that those lands back in the day were most likely of mixed tribes, is that so inconceivable? there was no greek nation, no greek country, we're talking tribes here....you seem to think that albanians rode in on their tanks and occupied epirus, i am baffled at the way you think, its bizarre to me.

Still trying it on with their sloppy bulls**t. first of all i don't know what you are, are you greek? you say the most confused, ambiguous and unclear things, i have a hard time following you. My Turkish side is Greek Bulgarian and Hungarian as far as I know I am Alpine Med racially. It is not hard if you read history. there is a countless numbers of foreign authors who are stripped of any bias that have wrote about albs, most times we're just quoting them, all you do is refute their claims by dismissing them as lunatics yet you have no opposing version backed in facts. First of all he said Albania was there before Greece because he quoted this "Considered the original inhabitants of the Balkan Penisula, the Albanians have inhabited the region since before the rise of the ancient Greeks. Illyrian culture is believed to have evolved from the Stone Age, and to have flourished in the region toward the biginning of the Bronze Age,about 2000 B.C." ... Ancient Illyria and Epirus were known to the people of the Mediterranean. Well, if them( Albanians ) and their culture flourished in the stone age therefore before the Greeks then why has Greeks/Greece been around since the Stone Age? Wouldn't that make them just as old an Albanians? And the Bronze age and before then. The Neolithic period is the Stone Age and Greece has been around since the Stone Age and before then so I don't believe that Albania is older than Greece because Greece has been around before the Stone age. rex has to come up with better resources apart from that.

The term Neolithic derives from the Greek νεολιθικός, neolithikos, from νέος neos, "new" + λίθος lithos, "stone", literally meaning "New Stone Age. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neolithic

It is not hard if you read history. lol, again you throw me on a tailspin, how is your turkish side greek, bulgarian and hungarian? are you saying that one side is turkish then the other is a mixture of the remaining 3? no big deal though, nice bled of races there anyway. you may be right, i am not concerned with who was there first, i take no pleasure or joy from knowing that we were in the balcans before greeks, to me its a stupid debate anyway, i know we are native dwellers of the penninsula, the rest its a topic that academics can debate for eternity for all i care.

How do I know that my Turkish side is Greek Bulgarian and Hungarian well apart from the fact that Turks used to rape the Greek Slavic Celtic etc women during their expansion in the Balkans BEFORE they expanded in the Levant and the Caucasus my family are Alevi's 12er Shia Muslims and they have strict origins especially around Thrace and the Caucasus. As far as I know, Thrace is geographical between Greece and Bulgaria so I conclude that Thracians are a mixture of the two people. They are Gothanized Greeks. The Azeris have more kipchak blood so they have Hungarian racial origins. Turks are not a race but a mongrel race of the following Bosnian Bulgarian Greek Armenian Georgian Hungarian Serbian Albanian etc THAT is what they are racially apart from the ethnic Turks who are Mongol or Turkic Their nationality is Turkish and their nationality is also Turkish whereever they have travelled which is the Levant the Caucasus and even ha Germany. I think Germany has six million Turks lol @ that.

No one said that Albanians aren't from the Balkans now the point was them arriving to the Balkans around the time of the Stone/Bronze age thus before the Greeks.
Well, the Greeks have been around since the Stone age and Bronze age so Albanians didn't arrive to the Balkans before the Greeks.
