I see you have no clue on Montenegro and its serb heritage. Montenegrin nationality is a recent communist invention to weaken serb ethnic corpus. Dont worry they will all eventually revert (read dead west and resurgent Russia and east) to what they were and that is proudest Serbs of all and so called Serb Sparta. www.njegos.org/siteindex/petrovic.htm

Are we talking about the name Milosh? The etymology is probably Slavic although the -osh suffix is due to an Albanian influence. That it was initially only commonly used in Kosova also makes it so more likely.

the funny thing is that
milos obilic... actually never had a name... til 100 or 200 years later... first given by so called (greeks) if it means like novi says milo kind sweet one... would be realy.... absurd to give hero a such gay name... so it must have other definition... and thus not slavic!!!

That it was initially only commonly used in Kosova also makes it so more likely. such names exist in other slavic languages. nothing albanian in them. how could it be? Serbs are much older than albs (who were nothing till 1100 AD).

Are we talking about the name Milosh? The etymology is probably Slavic although the -osh suffix is due to an Albanian influence. That it was initially only commonly used in Kosova also makes it so more likely. things change and got serbified... probally it was somthing like milot the greeks make from it milos etc etc.. this name milos or miloes or somthing like that than milosh is heard after year 1600... for the first time given by a greek to an so called unamed soldier of 12... (if they where real soldiers or just some bandidts we dont know) it could be easly serbified as that was only hero in serbia... and stil today it is where it al starts beeing serb...

Onomatologie Milo , Milos !!
Τhere are many references to justify the name "Milos" both the mythological era and the many names given to this island so interesting, that was considered the gateway between the Western and Eastern Mediterranean.
Milos says was the son of Scamander River (του Ποταμού Σκαμάνδρου ) who colonized the island in accordance with a directive of the goddess Aphrodite. He was handsome young man who fell in love with the three Hera, Athena and Aphrodite and Eris, which was created to solve invited by Paris. [The prize ] was apple (milo) that Paris gave to Aphrodite because she was the most beautiful goddesses.

do you greek women use name aphrodite? yes ; albascorp APHRODITE (Άφροδίτη): Greek name composed of the elements afros "foam" and dity "dive; rise," hence "risen from the foam." In mythology, this is the name of the goddess of love and mother of Eros. www.villasrentincyprus.co.uk/Aphrodite_Cyprus_island.htm
