Far from true. In greek forums nowadays you can see at least a 20% being fully pro-Slav/pro-east and about a 50% being positive to the east. I strongly disagree that you share the "average" views. There are great guys in Crete and Cyprus. You dont get as much of those in mainland Greece but they are there nevertheless.

I have been all over and worked both in Serbia, Bosnia, Bulgaria. I have nothing but GREAT impressions about those ppls. Their engineers are top notch. Don't know you are talking about.

You can find your gems anywhere. Serbs have a very good reputation outside of Serbia when it comes to engineering and IT.
On average however, the Balkans is home to some of Europe's lowest IQ levels.

IQ is not inherent. It is rising up all over Balkans as people have access to more various kind of knowledge, brain teasers and mentally harder job opportunities.

No, but a low IQ environment breeds a low IQ environment. Experience and condition has held the Balkans back, reverting to instinctive reactions. Serbs fared incredibly well considering the condition and especially compared to our neighbors, but still far behind others. You mentioned somewhere in the forum to imagine the genetic damage incurred on the Serb ethos after we lost around 50% of our most capable men in the First World War. A war that has proven to be for nothing, an incredible sacrifice all for nothing. I ask you to imagine the damage incurred during 500 years of Ottman rule while the rest of Europe blossomed in discoveries.

I ask you to imagine the damage incurred during 500 years of Ottman rule while the rest of Europe blossomed in discoveries. Turks ruled in the cities which in Serbia were populated mostly by foreigners, Serbs lived in isolated villages where they were generally left alone, each village in Serbia was ruled by a Knez which was democratically elected and the Turkish conquest did not interfere with this all the organs of self government were kept in tact on the whole. There were many Serbs throughout the balkans most notably in the republic of venice and hapsburg monarchy who were notable painters, writers , military commanders etc.... today in Dubrovnik the Pucic family is one of the two last surviving noble families.

Ok, but I was just talking of younger generation who are inevitably smarter than their parents or grandparents in most cases. The global technology and science that impacts the whole world and thus Serbia, secure such positive trend. Now some wiseguy might show up and say "ahh but they can't repair the toilet cistern" however they forget many younger people have greater understanding of more difficult systems such as computers. Also I think Ottomans did much less damage to Serbs than Serbs themselves.

You speak as if these actions aren't just a concequence of the new condition that was introduced to our society, a condition nowhere near where our experience and condition was prior to when the Ottomans came. We just came from a glory age into a colonized status amd abject oppresion. This is a damaged state, a forced degrade is incurring. Nothing could have been done, there were just too many of them and Rome facilitated this, the region was not aligned with Rome. The effects of this experience are tremendous and it should have never happened. But I'll say again, Serbs farred incredibly well considering both the condition as well as compared to our neighbors.

You talk of Ottomans but more than 200 years has passed since Ottomans moved out and 100 years since Austro-Hungarians moved out of Vojvodina. Add to that equation Serbia and Yugoslavia were first to embrace stupid, the least useful things and last to embrace postive, the most useful things.
