My boy Rexxy Guy makes a very good case and also is clear that Albanians have nothing to do with Illyrians. In fact there is no mention of anything Albanian before Norman invasion of what is now modern Albania. illyria.proboards.com/thread/31651/normans-albania-11th-13th-centuriesCertainly, no connection of Albanians to Illyrians in any shape or form. No connection of Albanians to Risan (where Teuta resided) or Boka in any shape or form. No records of proof of local Slavs settling these regions from outside the region. Genetics and anthropology also show continuation and no disruption (as Osmanagic also states) Slavs are most numerous group in Europe and Herodutos states that Thracians are most numerous after Indians. Where this all this Thracians go or are these Slavs today? Serbs until just recently were most often called as Tribalians (Tribals are one of the Thracian people, and in ancient times Thracians and Illyrians were often grouped together) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms_of_Triballia

German and Austrian scholars tried hard to connect Albanians with Illyrians in the past 1-2 centuries out of political reasons. since they perceived value in creating a separate Albanian identity and state in Balkans after Turks were to leave the area.
It is because of their effort that today some are trying to make a connection between Albanians and Illyrians
Here is one of the stars of this effort

Everything royal in the balkans is Serbian/Bulgarian/Slavic. All the medieval religious centers were either Serbian or Bulgarian.
There is nothing else notable in the balkans.
We (vlahs) (=80% of neo-Greeks) and albs clearly came after 950 AD.
"Pros Idion Yion Romanon" the book by Kon. Porfyrogenitos, Roman Emperor, leaves little doubt that albs did not exist at the time.

I agree....no such thing as Albanian at that time...they were then called illyrian,/illyrian tribes, ipirotes arbs/arberor
greeks & serbs spend a LOT of time/effort on trying to make Albanians non-illyrian
when in fact a lot of illyrians/Albs are assimilated into being serb & greek

Exactly.
Not just the balkans, also western euro most probably was inhabited by Slavs, in one of their various forms. Italy can serve as a prime example. And the huge similarities between Latin and Slavic. It is more than evident that Germanic, Latin and Greek are products coming from the same Slavic backbone.
Indians and Thrakians (Sanscrit Slavs) were the dominant culture of Eurasia.
Greeks, Latins, Germans were created by some force to lessen the Slavs, this is being constantly proven, every day.
The fact that Putin and Co haven't touched those matters is a sign that those guys are either idiots or traitors.
