as I said...you need the doctor...urgently.
The Serbs as well as the Bulgarians looked up to the Romaious (to use the correct term) and came as invadors...thirsty for land...and culture. They were the barbarians of the middle age. We gave them their alphabet, their religion and with our help they formed some hybrid culture. Spare me the comparisons between Serbs and Byzantines, thats like comparing the ancient Romans to the Germanic tribes.
Apollonia lies at the sea, it was a typical (southern) Greek colony. Kastoria lies relatively deep inside the land, it has no sea, it lies between the mountains. The ancient (southern) Greeks did rarely colonize such places. Kastoria lies on ancient Macedonian territory, the region around it was called Orestis (the lake is called Orestiada today). In ancient times Kastoria was called Keletron, later on it was named Diokletianoupolis and then again Ioustinianoupolis. The todays city alone has 72 churches from Byzantine time. It has always been a centre (and later on an island) of Greek culture surrounded by the many slavophone villages...the Slavs came as invadors.
The language of Kastoria is Greek and it has always been Greek...now just because the Bulgarians have given to each village and city in the region their own (uttely ugly) name it doesnt mean the places are slavic in origin. "Istanbul" isnt turkish either after all...

you know you need him. what is a bouratzana? Well we dont have ancient Greek monuments in Kastoria. We dont have any connection to Platon and Socrates and Themistokles. And we dont want to....we are Byzantine, yes surely. Its the element that civilized your slavs...

Ah I see, still more interesting....so your mum is an example of a muslim Greek who preserved the Greek identity. I find that interesting because I always thought the Greek muslims felt Turkish or did at least easily adopt turkish identity.
What are you? Orthodox or muslim? You are living in Constantinople?

Pyrros I will delete all of your posts if you go on personally insulting people like that...you can keep your sick ideology but let other people have their own opinion. A single person can not terrorize a majority..who the hell do you think you are?

I deleted all insulting posts and the ones that were refering to them. When someone is posting his pic you are expected to give a serious classification and not to get insulting. Show here at least some respect.
Derk, I find your pic not good for classification....dont you have a pic where you dont open your eyes that much and where you are not holding a mobile phone...also a pic with lighter background would be helpful.

It depends on what you mean by "dark". Its a relative term. In comparison to our northern neighbours we are surely darker but in comparison to our eastern and southern neighbours we are definitely lighter. We are simply perfect not too dark not too light..

In fact the most "eastern" or "turkish" looking Greeks as we say are the Pontians who just simply do look "Anatolian".
Greek Cypriots are darker too due to their geography and history. Cretans on the other hand are pretty European med. looking.
The most lighter Greeks with blue eyes and lighter hair are from northern Greece, Epirus and especially Macedonia and this will most probably also be due to geography and history..

Thanks ulf!! Are you joking Pyrros? How the hell can you expect a serious classification if you are covering your face and head? You could be from anywhere judging from that video...cutting your hair short as many Serbs do doesnt make you serb looking. You are a coward at that...a true Serb would ever cover his face...but I forgot you are just a cheap Epirote wannabe-Serb...
