I think Jankovic will lose to Safina.
Cavic is a good bet for a medal in the butterfly.

Poland clinches quarterfinal spot with defeat of Serbia
Poland defeated Serbia 31-29, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21 in pool B of Men's Volleyball to improve its record to 3-0 and clinch a spot in the quarterfinals. Serbia has suffered three straight losses and will likely not advance past the preliminary round.
In the first set, Ivan Miljkovic led the Serbian team with a variety of speed and power. The Serbs took an early lead, but Poland finished with an offensive barrage from Daniel Plinski, Michal Winarski, Mariusz Wlaszly and Lukasz Kadziewicz and took the marathon set 31-29.
Miljkovic led the Serbs to a second set win, 25-22, with Poland's unforced errors being their downfall. In the third set, Poland took the lead 11-7 thanks to an impressive blocking performance and Poland eventually took a 25-22 victory.
In the fourth set, Poland's defense strengthened alongside their defense. A 25-21 win gave them the match and a ticket to the quarterfinals.
Serbia will have to beat Germany on August 16 to keep their slim quartefinal hopes alive, while Poland is to play Brazil.

14 August 2008.
SERBIA’S BEST SWIMMER Milorad Cavic has set the new Olympic record in Beijing, in the preliminary race on 100 meters, butterfly stroke. Cavic had a great start, kept the pace during the entire race and left the phenomenal American Michael Phelps almost half a meter behind. The semi-final race in this even is on the program on Friday, August 15. The other Serbian representative in this discipli9ne, Ivan Lendjer, has not qualified for the semi-final, after taking the 7th place in his qualifying group.

^ Seriously, what is your problem man? Why don't you find a girlfriend... or even some friends? Yeah, you're proud to be Montenegrin, but only because that is all you got.

Cavic had the top speed in the semi-finals of 100m butterfly AGAIN. Phelps was 2nd again. All that matters is the final, which is coming up, and although Phelps looks invincible right now, Cavic has the best chance of anybody to prevent Phelps from gaining 8 gold medal. As much as I appreciate history in the making, I'd love nothing more than for Milorad to win the gold (although prior to these games I would've been happy with just a medal).

www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601079&sid=ac2_S8JCIfP4&refer=homePhelps Facing `Some Guy' Out to End His Gold-Medal Record Quest By Larry Siddons Aug. 15 (Bloomberg) -- The magic number is so close for Michael Phelps, and suddenly a rival known more for parties and politics than swim victories declares it's time to stop the king of the pool from making another bit of Olympic history. ``It would be good for the sport if he loses,'' said Milorad Cavic, a California native who competes for his parents' homeland of Serbia. ``It'd be good for him if he loses.'' The holder of the fastest 100-meter butterfly time in Olympic history, Cavic said he wants to beat Phelps in tomorrow's final and derail the American's quest for eight gold medals in Beijing. ``It would be nice if historians talk about Michael Phelps winning seven gold medals and losing the eighth to some guy,'' Cavic, 24, told reporters. ``I'd like to be that guy.'' Phelps needs victories in the butterfly and the 400-meter medley relay on Aug. 17 to break the single-Games record for gold medals with eight. Mark Spitz set the record 36 years ago in the pool at the Munich Olympics. Phelps gets a $1 million bonus from Speedo, one of his sponsors, if he ties or breaks Spitz's standard. The 23-year-old Baltimore native already holds the mark for most career gold medals, raising it to 12 today with his victory in the 200-meter individual medley and setting a world record, his sixth in six races. Phelps, the defending champion, and Cavic later became the only swimmers to break 51 seconds in the butterfly semifinals, with the Serb 0.05 second faster at 50.92. He set the Olympic record of 50.76 in yesterday's heats. ``I've qualified first for the finals,'' Cavic said. ``I don't know what to expect but I'm aiming for a medal.'' Political T-Shirt Cavic won the 50-meter butterfly at the European Championships in Eindhoven, Netherlands, in June, where he made his biggest headlines with a T-shirt. Organizers suspended the University of California political-science student for wearing a shirt with the slogan, ``Kosovo is Serbia,'' at the medal ceremony. They called it ``a clear political action'' in violation of the rules. Cavic said at the time he was trying to send ``positive energy'' to Serbia, which refuses to recognize Kosovo's independence declaration and battled secessionists in the region until NATO air strikes and troop movements in 1999. Politics isn't the 6-foot-6 Cavic's only pursuit outside the pool. His official Olympic biography lists his interests as ``movies, nightlife and racing.'' `Great Life' ``I didn't have to sleep in a bunker for a few years, I'm very fortunate,'' he said. ``I've had a great life. There's no way I'd say a bad word against the U.S.'' The 100-meter butterfly is the only individual event on Phelps's schedule where he doesn't hold the world record. Teammate Ian Crocker has that mark, at 50.40, and qualified for the final in 51.27. This is Crocker's only event in Beijing, while Phelps will swim at least 16 heats, semifinals and finals by the time the meet finishes in two days. Cavic, who also swam in the 100-meter freestyle heats, says that might help him stop Phelps. ``The guy's the best the sport has ever seen, the Olympics has ever seen,'' he said. ``But he's got a lot on his plate.''
