Look sodomized prostitute, when the Cretans say that Bulgaro/Topolia/etc... are from Nikiforos Fokas's Bulgarians, then it is simply is so. PERIOD. They are *THE SOURCE*. No ifs and buts.... They know much better than you or me or arveler, or giannaras...
Now, i see, ekanes gargara, the book of "Charles Diehl" , the KNOWN historian of Byzantine history.. ha ha ha... but its ok.... what else to expect from the master of fabrication and deception?

I said again...if you speak proper Greek you should know that Voulgaro means the female Bulgarian... is that what Byzantion brought to Crete... one Voulgara ? And of course Crete was cursed, since Arabs used it to pillage the whole Greece, and thank God that the patriotism of the Empire kicked their asses back to arapia... Anywhere Byzantion had control, of course it was Greeks who run the things... of course not always welcomed... illyria.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=hellasgreece&action=display&thread=29360And when Byzantion lost control(see south Italy) Hellenism declined. Simple facts.

Have you read it? I think i have read a fair part of it. Its in the links i gave you. (there was some 6-10 University papers there, IIRC, a large coverage of the Chronicle of Monenmvasia is there in one of them. Cant tell precisely tho in which one. If you care you may read them all or search inside them (the ones which are "text" PDFs, because in "image" PDFs you cannot search.) It would be better to read them all. (IMHO)

^ Ulf, this was the result from the confusion that was brought about by foreign travellors who reported that they only saw Bulgars....why....because the 19th cent. Bulgarian Exarchate was operating in those regions. The people feared to say anything other than calling themselves Bulgarian.
So what Pyrro said here is not wrong:
"they replaced Serbs with "Bulgarians" and the "statistics" were ready!"

Slavs in Republica Srpska and modern day Western Serbia were noted as Serbs. Slavs in Bulgaria, Thrace, and Macedonia were noted as Bulgarians.

give us the main story... why did you recall the Chronicle of Monemvasia...? I've asked you three times... I mentioned the Chronicle of Monemvasia, when i remembered one ultra ridiculous statement of yours regarding Olympia which turned to Serviana and which in turn was named Antilalos. You referred to "Chronicle of Moreas" to create some noise about a village named Sergiana, and thus to prove that there was nothing Serbian about the ancient Olympia. Although this could *not* stand as a proof by no means, i noticed that this Sergiana was .... "another" village!!! So your argument, was 100% idiotic, sneaky, and laughable. I just remembered this, and thought i could embarrass you by bringing up the "Chronicle of Monemvasia" The main story, you are asking about, is that you are a complete fabricator, an idiot, and a person not worth talking to.
