Cyril and Methodius,Greek brothers born in Thessalonica, ... It played a great role in the history of Slavic languages. The Cyrrilic Alphabet derived from the Greek Alphabet and used for writing Slavic languages. and how these ancient greek great men & philosophers knew this subclass language of those savage cavemen the ugly, inferior and dirty slavs? Were there foreign languages institutes at this time? For a language which was not standardized yet? HUH? let me answer it for you buddy. Because at the time ONLY slavs lived in the Greek penisula. Sorry to break it for you buddy, but we gotta keep our temper a little more down to earth. (if we dont like surprises)

Ioan, Old Bulgarian is the language of the Chuvashi people, your forgetting again I don't recall Cyrill and Methodius ever calling Old Church Slavonic as Old Turkish, never seen in my sources the words Bulgarsk or rod Bulgarsk used to describe it as Turkish but Slavic, like my indo-european language.

I don't get this Bulgarians here. They have over 15 different versions of Bulgarian language there, yet the constantly claim South eastern Serbian people are Bulgarians and their language Bulgarian, if that's not hypocritical I don't know what is.

Pardon my French, but what the f**k are you talking about Ufl!? You are probably not reading the posts..
There are various different theories on the ORIGIN OF THE ANCIENT BULGARIANS. Regarding the modern language, people (educated people that is) are well aware of what the situation is.
Bottom line is Bulgarian and Macedonian are the same, rather both are dialects of the same language and are classified as such by all credible non-bias sources. Torlak too shares many more similarities with Bulgarian rather than Serbian, just look at the grammar. This is not a theory, but a well accepted fact.
So get some damn books and read. This is my advice to all the Serb members (except Arsenjie) of the forum as you really seem very confused, or maybe just uneducated on the matter of Balkan history.
The thing is, and I don't mean to offend anyone, but the posts of most of the Serbs on here.. at least the ones related to history, are so damn idiotic it makes your entire people look bad. You guys should all try to be more like Arsenjie.

You guys should all try to be more like Arsenjie. In the mid 1980s Serbian academies adopted a more nationalist view of history , some of it to the point of Greater Serbia propaganda. Most Serbs do not share these views or are silent about them but the expansionist views are popular in their diaspora. The same is more or less true for Croats.

Why is it that you keep on going on about how Serbs are nationalistics, how Serbs committed this and that but you do not want to mention nothing about the Croats, Muslims or Albanians in general and about their nationalist view of history, their propaganda and their expansionist views. This reminds me a while in the Bosnian forum where you backed down from a debate we had a while ago and how you were constantly being one sided and refused to look at the other side from a history, political and social point of view. Yet you keep on going on about Serbs carrying on with the elements of the 90's but failing to recognise the fact that the Alija and Tudjman political parties are still pretty much active and in power as opposed to the Milosevic Political Party and you also failed to mention or even address that the Kosovo parliament, law enforcement agencies are full of Ex-KLA terrorists and that the KLA element is still present and strong in Kosovo, in politics, economics, judicial, and etc.. You also seem to always have a justification making it ok for the crimes being committed against the Serbian civilians and against Serbia is ok and ignoring these facts and continue to throw out crap about Serbs committing war crimes this and that. I want to know why did you run away from the debate that we had a while back on the Bosnian sub forum?
You have been brainwashed from all the propaganda you were watching on CNN and BBC news and you are an outsider?? Not from the Balkans, it would be nice to hear all sides of the story and all point of views before comming to a conclusion.
