Novi, just promise me one thing, that the next time that some asiatic-sionist pig, like those byzantines were, tries to do harm to the serb people, like those byzantine prostitutes did to the poor, isolated and helpless slavs (Serbs) of asia minor, you will listen to brother pyrros and not to this pro-roman sentiment you have... You love greeks? I LOVE THEM TOO!!! unfortunately the main forces behind today's greece aren't greek at all. We are a sioniost-asiatic eastern-roman kind of thing. I refuse to accept that the ancient greeks were *THAT* corrupted and empty of kindness. The true greeks suffered a lot by those sionist wh ores. Just like Serbs/Slavs did. You piece of s**t. The Byzantines have founded the culture in this region. You need a good beating. Now go to the gym, already! You look like s**t. Hahaha. Novi likes him just the way he his though. Easy to toss around.

Chento, you don't have to agree with me at all, never asked you to agree with me, this is a debating forum. The info l have been posting does come from sources not found on the internet. You can cross check them if you like. I'm not going to be a smart a$$, but for example, the Mijaks and Brsjachi tribes are Serbs, they have Slava's, and the Mijaks for instance once inhabited Albania, they were the bridge between the slavs of kosovo and montenegro. You don't have to read the following, but its important for you to know: "Until the emergence of Exarchist propaganda, which was assisted in every way by the Turks, the entire Slavic population of this region (Vardarska) was described as Serbian. This was the situation found by a group of French staff officiers who, with the permission of the Turks, traveled around Macedonia in 1807 compiling a statistical survey of the population. Apart from Greeks, Turks, Albanians and Wallachians, they found only Serbs. They said the following, "The only spoken Slavic language to be mentioned is Serbian ['servienne'], and that not only in the region of Skopje, but also in those of Bitolj and Thessaloniki." As for Bulgarian, no mention of it was made in the survey. Consequently, the language of the Macedonian Slavs over a century ago was called Serbian, and that is a very important point." Novi - the original Serbs were not of Slavic descent. They were of Iranian descent, who later adopted the Slavic language (much like the proto-Bulgars). To describe a Slavic tribe such as the Brsjaci or Mijaci as Serbs is incorrect. Even the Byzantines made a distinction between the Serbs and Slavs. The describe the settlement of Serboi in the Balkans and the settlement of Sklavinians aswell. They called the land settled by the Slavs as Sklavinia and not Serbia. PS. I challenge you to find a non-Serb, non-French and non-British source that backs your argument.

Chento, we've made mention of this before that some of us here in this forum *believe* the USA will export its debts to the world. sorry missed that discussion. i'd like to see what people think would replace u.s power in the world. china? russia? i'd like to see a powerful orthodox russia stamp it's authority in eastern europe, and in particular the balkans. i'm sick of this pandering to nato/eu s**t, as if this is the saviour of all ills. can't balkan leaders see the eu is failing before their very eyes?? imo russia has been and is not far from just another imperialistic regime such as usa, nothing against the russian people but russian politicians just another form of sophisticated gang/gangsta. I cant see them doing anything good for eastern or any part of europe, anyways their mafias are already planted all over europe and the world.

Byzantines made a distinction between Slaveni, Antes and Venedi as well, what does that mean? That Antes were not a purely slavic nation? with a purely slavic language? All this is BS. I have read most of the byzantine sources in its original Greek form. Let me tell you, those b1tches rarely had a clue of what they were talking about. Same thing as today with americans not being able to tell a montenegrin from a makedonian or from a serb apart, and always confusing things and facts according to their short-term agenda. They say e.g that Slavs ate babies, ate women's breasts, they were savages, etc.... they were slaying and burning all over greece, etc.... but i don't believe not even 1% of this. The proof is in the pudding my friend, as they say.... the proof is .... the today. The toponyms, the namings, the cuisine, the dances. Anything original in the balkans is slavic, and the strongest nation of the Slavs were the Serbs. In 641 their archont was named Vlastimirovic, gimme a break about Serbs not being Slavic.... ALSO!!! Slavs DID NOT CALL THEM SELVES AS SLAVS!!! The term "Slav" was a byzantine creation, as proven by Florin Curta.

It did not exist by this name. It was a center of power, based on Slavs, Armenians, Bulgarians, and other elements in the balkans and in the orient. It was a heavily anti-european (Anti-greek, Anti-slav) empire. Purely asiatic. And its end was equally asiatic.

Pyrro brate true what you say, there is a theory out there that all Slavs were known to be Serbs, but that is a theory. Chento makes mention the name Serb is Iranian? One thing for sure the name Serb is an Indo-European name unlike the name Bulgaria, which is Altaic and not Indo-European.

Chento, before l say anymore, the tradition known as Slava, who celebrates it?
PS "As the example of Ivac shows-for he was certainly not only one-there were members of the Orthodox faith among Samuil's miliatry commanders. (On the Feast of the Assumptions, August 28, 1018, Ivac was captured by Evstatije Dafnomil, administrator of Ohrid, by trickery and blinded.) The celebration in Macedonia of the SLAVA, which is attested by the Byzantine chronicler Skilica (Skylitizes), is one more proof that the Macedonian Slavs in Samuil's state differed from the Bulgars. In the east, in Bulgaria, this custom was never observed-nor is it today-and when, in the eleventh century, the Bulgars began to subdue the Christianized Slavic tribes in Macedonia and the Serbian lands, they found the Slava already established there. When the Bulgars were converted in the second half of the eleventh century, they neither then nor at any later date took over this custom from the Macedonian Slavs."

Slava and Vidovdan are two classic examples, as the use of Ekavski.

How about the northern Serbs of Lusatia who do not call themselves Sorbs, but simply SERBI, what is Chento's position on that? Were those people of Iranian original as well?? PS As TR has shown the similarities between Iranian and slavic languages are just huge. And i have proven the case for the huge relationship between ancient Greek and ancient Slav... PRETTY ADJACENT languages, which means that all europeans had a common origin.

Nice progress. Much of the folkore was taken from the natives. The Slavs offered very little to the region in terms of culture.

Do you have the source. BTW, as far as I know all Macedonians celebrate Slava. All Macedonian villages and towns celebrate one or more Saints days as their Slava. I have two - St. Theodore's and St. Elijah's ie. Ilinden.

Chento, since you have mentioned above, the popularity of the Slava. My perception is that where the Bulgarian Exarchos had the most influence (east of vardar river) the previous celebrated tradition of Slava was lost and replaced with name days. Is Slava still practiced east of the Vardar river?

So you went from eating babies and women's breasts to committing genocide. Nice progress. i can't believe i bothered to quote that!! Much of the folkore was taken from the natives. The Slavs offered very little to the region in terms of culture. Then, my little idiot, how do you explain that the vast similarities between e.g. serbian/bulgarian/russian/polish/czech/slovak/ukrainian folklore?? Are you gonna claim the whole europe and asia as being inhabited by the same "native" vlahs/dacians/etc? You resemble an albanian more and more. You are lost. PS i am sorry that you struggle to find an identity, being from a land, which was practically Slavic 200 years ago, being from a latin-wannabe nation which says "DA" for yes (!!! LOL!!!), but this has nothing to do with this forum. If you wanna research on your slavic-serbian roots, that's fine. Apart from that, no one can help you. And i doubt there is any sector of medicine able to cope with your severe situation.

^^^ Deep inside, their heart and soul blinks when they see a Serb. I saw it in their eyes in Sofia. Saying you are greek,etc... was cool and all, etc... but saying you are a Serb (and one from Bosnia) they seemed like they were smiling all the way from mouth to ears. Like seeing a long lost relative. That's my perception i got there.
