There were a few Albanian recruits in the Handzar division before the Skanderbeg division was created. However, the damage those few Albanians did was quite minimal. Everything shows that the Skanderbeg division was very unactive, doing little-to-nothing, and many only joined for the equipment (they left after having done nothing, their guns, etc. with them.). The Serbian atrocities under Nedic were only beaten by the Germans themselves. The amount of Jews killed in Kosova was much smaller than in Serbia, and even those killings can to a large degree be blamed on the Serbs instead of the Albanians there. "Ultimately, about 15,000 Jews perished in Nedic's Serbia. This was 94 percent of the area covering Serbia proper (11240), the formerly Hungarian region of Banat (3800), the Sandzak region (260), and Kosovo (210). Most of these people had been exterminated by the middle of 1942. Among those who remained were several hundred, mainly women and children, who had been hiding in rural Serbian villages and some who joined the Partisans or had otherwise escaped. However, between 1942 and September, 1944, just before the Germans withdrew from Belgrade at least 455 of the Jews in hiding were captured Ljoticites, Nedicites or Chetniks, who received reward money for every Jew found. These Jews were transported to Banjica and killed upon arrival. Lol. Sure. Call it whatever you want to. I would rather have Albanians manipulate Germans into giving them equipment instead of having them take part in one of the most despicable events in human history. More important, this puts us above anyone who would want to slander us, that includes you and Novi Pazar. Most importantly, this puts the claim that Albanians followed anyone they were occupied by blindly to rest. We did not participate in the holocaust and the few Albanians who joined the ranks of the SS only did it to get free equipment that they could run away with. On the other hand, we have the Serbs. Unlike the Albanians, the Serbs did not have the benefit of being deemed "Aryan". Yet, Albanians, unlike the Serbs, did not commit these kinds of crimes for a benefactor. The Serbs compliantly mass murdered Jews for an enemy that hated the Serbs and saw them as part of an inferior group of people that were only above Jews and Gypsies.

It is not that they were useless, Cus in that time it was easy to kill some unarmed jews, but the Albanian SS division simply didn't had the support of the Albanian population, cus these kind of ideologies are STUPID!
Now let me ask you, does it hurt deep inside that you werent chosen by Hitler? ;D

Makes sense like the normal Germans who joined the SS ranks and killed Jews because they were under attack. No, Albanians didn't join because Kosovo isn't Albania.

By capturing and killing Jews and other specific ethnicities they would have been partaking in the Holocaust. Serbia had a collaborationist government. Furthermore, several Serbian guerrilla-like movements like the Cetniks also captured Jews for money. That is as much as I can reply to your post because that is as much as I can understand from your post. I see you're still holding the " make no sense" motto for yourself. Good luck with that.

"More important, this puts us above anyone who would want to slander us, that includes you and Novi Pazar." Its not slander its actual truth. Besides, your darling, Madeline Albrights family was saved by Serbs, only to come back later and have a hand in bombing the crap out of the country that saved her life. Groet, Albania was occupied by fascist Italy, the Italians believed that the killing of Jews was a German disease, why do you think Jews FLED to Italian occupied areas

Strangely enough this is very close to Nedic's thoughts he was installed by the Nazis as a puppet government, he tried to persuade all Serbs not to fight the Nazis because of the 1 Nazi killed 100 Serbs killed policy, his core concern was preservation of Serbs, and unfortunatley he made wrong choices ...such a sad end for such a decorated officer and Soldier.
What gets me about these type of debates, its amazing how all can distinguish between Ustasa and Croats, Muslims and the SS Handzars etc yet none can do the same when it comes to Serbs...hypocrites.
The Serbian atrocities under Nedic were only beaten by the Germans themselves.
Bulls**te, how can you seriously say such a thing ?
There were a few Albanian recruits in the Handzar division before the Skanderbeg division was created. However, the damage those few Albanians did was quite minimal.
Again total Bulls**t, where are you getting this stuff from ? many Albanians from Kosovo and around Sandzak were recruited to the Handzar division under Croat command, they where well trained by the Nazis and were active in Bosnia, later transfered to Kosovo half of the total number deserted on arrival to Kosovo Many Serbs where killed across Kosovo by these Albanian fighters as revenge for the Balkan wars. So i guess when you stated minimal damage you where refering to damage to Jews ?..Hypocrite.

Oh, right. He wasn't a bad guy, he just targeted specific types of people for extermination so that he could preserve his own people! How noble!.. Oh well, he had his heart in the right place. Yes, the German policy of extreme retaliation was cruel. However, that had little to do with the extermination of Jews because it was not a prerequisite for the Serbs to survive and they collaborated gladly, often Jews would be caught and sent into German hands for money. All of this for Nazi Germany which put Serbs and other Slavs in a category not very different from the Jews themselves. Albanians risked their lives to save Jews. Shows how extreme the difference in values and mentality between Albanians and Serbs is. I will not say Serbs are despicable, this certainly is, however. I do distinguish Serbs from extremist movements like these, yet these are historical facts and if a Serb can point out to the non-existing atrocities done by Albanians, we will point out to the existing atrocities done by Serbs. Speaking of the Ustasha, some of the things they did were things Serbs are to a large part guilty of doing as well, largely against Albanians. The forced conversion of Serbs into Catholicism can be likened to the forced conversion of Albanians into Orthodoxy for example. And of course the indiscriminate murdering of civilians. That's only a few examples. 94% of the Jews in Serbia were killed due to Serbs. Belgrade was the first "Judenfrei" capital in Europe. Serbs were the worst collaborators of the Nazis and they were only beaten by their own masters. The number of Albanians that were recruited to the Handzar division was relatively small (about 1000 Albanians out of 26000 or so total; 3.8%) and the damage they did was minimal due to them being there for about 6 months. The SS Skanderbeg division was approximately half the size of an average SS division and it was only active for a few months. And they rarely fought or even took any kind of orders. After those few aforementioned months, the Albanians left the SS Skanderbeg division, taking their guns and other equipment with them. The Germans were basically scammed; the SS Skanderbeg division was a total failure. Since this thread is about Albanians and their treatment of Jews in WW2 (and the appraisal for that ever since), I will talk about just that. I am glad we did not partake in the Holocaust and other German WW2 atrocities, something which you could not say. Serbs have killed far more Albanians than vice versa and in the case of the Albanians it has been as you said yourself: revenge. So I would not consider myself a hypocrite. This is all about your compatriots trying to muddy our record. Unfortunately for you, our actions do not mirror yours.
