Blueprint for Greek-Albanian thread: Radical Greek: Weak Albanian Muslims! Ah ha! Ass kissers! There's no Greek Muslims! We don't change! (Conviniently leaves out the part about killing or expelling them all). Atheist teenage Albanian kid from diaspora ashamed of Islam feeling the need to play up all things "Western" and "European" because that's his life now anyway: No, we don't want Islam. Islam is evil! Albanian muslims aren't Albanians! I decided! Radical Greek: Who you foolin'? You are Turkz! Greekz iz special dawg! You ain't! Fall back playa! WHUT! *hiding own inferiority complex* Atheist Albanian kid from diaspora: I must prove we are not Muslims by hating on Muslims even more then this Greek! Argh! I'm gonna try so hard to ruin the relative harmony Albanians of all faiths have enjoyed, for the sake of looking more Western and spiting some Greeks! Fawk yea! Lets have civil war! Radical Greek: What b***h? You gona wage Jihad? Albanian: Ah ha you guys have male buttsekz. Normal person: You guys are idiots and dorks. Half of you act like what Greeks or Albanians did 100 years ago is your personal achievement today. Every Greek seems to think because they had Alexander the Great or Plato, they're inheritely a badass warrior with a 190 IQ. Get out your mama's basement f*ggot. Shut the hell up. A man's belif about his own soul and God (or lack of), is his own business and his quality as a man shouldn't be judged by it. Anti-religious extremists are as bad as religous extremists in terms of ignorance and attitude. Grow up. haha lol this is Gold! Well done.

Donnie is a fine orator but his posts really have no substance.... lol I think I once said the same thing. Donnie is a smart guy, he can hit the spot but quite often he also combines ambiguity with innuendo and it turns out like wtf, is he actually implying this particular thing I think that would not be correct.

Why 1250? Thats where my search stopped when looking for your history... I can't find anything of significance before that ... other than a mention around 1100.... but very minor.

Yes, I get all of that, but what happened specifically at 1250? Was there some battle, a treaty, a noble who was mentioned and described as Albanian? Just trying to see if you actually did read smth or if you're pulling dates out of your a*ss ....

Is it funny.... or is it.... painful? Think about it... Deception is part your game....
My lines of thought are simple.... I believe a rather large part of your population sprang out from a turic tribe... Now keep reading Edwins books to reaffirm your beliefs that you sprang up in the Balkans a long time ago....

Funny, I've heard the same of your people ... add to that a little Slavic and Albanian mix and voila, there are some who don't believe in your continuity since antiquity at all.
Truth be told Kanaris, I dont give a toss of what you Greeks think, simply because I've made up my mind on my people's origins since a long time ago. The only question is whether the above stance of yours is a serious one or an attempt to bust our b*lls with rubbish ... in the case of the former, that makes you stupid. In the case of the latter, it makes you an instigator, which is in direct conflict with the role you're supposed to carry out as an administrator. Yet for your sake I hope and believe it's the latter, since the former isn't flattering at all, and considering the countless topics you mustve read related to this topic mustve left some imprint in your head, given you some lesson, which you simply refuse to acknowledge because of some Albanians here irritating you.

Whatever turns you on Donnie... I couldn't give two chits... on an evolutionary scale your country is 200 years late...
Oh and I am dead serious of my comments above about your origins.... and many many people share my views... in all walks of life...
Now you can believe whatever you want.... your mind is geared towards survival not logic.

Considering westerners had to teach them their "own" history and convince them classical Greeks and them are one and the same, I find their constant blabbing hillarious. When the scholar drew paralels between Achilles and Nikotsaras the latter took offense to being compared to someone he had never even heard of: "What nonsense is this and who is this Achilles? Did the musket of Achilles kill many?"From a decent book "The Balkan Wars: Conquest, Revolution and Retribution from the Ottoman Era to the Twentieth Century and Beyond" by Andre Gerolymatos Another simmilar reaction was: Achilles? Handy with a musket is he?All the "philhellenes" that came to help out the "noble Greeks" left iwith quite a bad taste int heir mouth. Looking at the Ottomans and looking and the Greeks, not knowing which one to help which one to shoot LOL. But listening to members here, you'd think the Greeks were the exact opposite of the Ottomans and all their "buttkissers". The attitude of some members on this forum really is some sort of modern Greek inferiority complex and form of self-loathing.

That has nothing to do ... with you being newcomers to the area.... We went through many stages ..we never forgot who we were..whether we were called Romioi... or Pontian... we never lost touch with reality... We still occupy the land that our ancestors had... from our alphabet to our language..
Don't try to sway things... It's your own people that deny their history... not my words yours.Read the threads here.

Don't try to change history because it doesn't fit your romantic naive image of the Greek nation. Modern Greeks are biologicly descendants of many people, not one people. Fact. Greeks today are defined by Greek culture and language, not by one common ancestry or race or blood. You are most likely the least homogeneous people in the whole Balkan, except for Turks. Hellenism was always cultural. So who is "we" that "still occupy the same land", when the modern Greek kept evolving with each wave of new people that came. But yes you do have your cultural and national identity and nobody is trying to destroy it, just lets not act like you have som sort of direct connection to Hercules or something It is you who constatly feel the need to attack others. You're a hypocrite. Because you hate on others for the same things Greeks went through and did, but when Greeks do it it's justified.

Yeah it's a joke with how they call us newcomers yet they're mixed with every single empire that went through Greece.
Illyrians showed up in the Balkans at the same time as the ancient Greeks (which have nothing to do with the modern ones), so saying that we came there after 1250 is just as dumb as the new FYROM encyclopedia. (sorry Kanaris, but I can't take that BS anymore, it's something to be against muslim extremists and turkish lovers which I'm 100% with you, but don't effin change history just because it suits well in the eyes of your Greek friends)

Illyrians showed up in the Balkans at the same time as the ancient Greeks (which have nothing to do with the modern ones).. Ah.. its that theory again with the spacecraft that kidnapped the millions of ancient Greeks from their lands.. and the land left completely empty... and the new Greeks came! ;D ;D I see the discussion here is getting very scientific! ;D ;D

You're a hypocrite. Because you hate on others for the same things Greeks went through and did, but when Greeks do it it's justified. Well, lets talk about it... We both experienced slavic migrations...look at your toponymes in your country...full of slavic...look at your language...double the number of the slavic loandwords we have... And come on Greeks don't have slavofatsa...instead many albos are dirty blonds like slovaks... Lets talk about Turks...Do you think that during the yoke, any Turk would marry a Greek young lady or the opposite....??...In 2009 it's a taboo in Greece... imagine how it would be back then... You know Greeks can't marry anyone who is not orthodox...and the life of a kaour wasn't enviable for a Osman budala to become a kaour Yiannis... and we sent thousands of them back to Asia in the last two centuries, politely or not...I don't know any population exchange between Albania and Turkey... and the some or many haldups that came in Albania during the 5 centuries didn't have to leave from an muslim paradise... Now the Vlachica and Arvanitica groups are well documented by history and we now who they are even today, and they aren't more than 5-6% of the Greek population... You too have Vlachs don't you...? And I don't think that your South doesn't have Greek influence...look at their faces... look the damn Chams... Greek culture and of course our language (the most old documented indoeuropean language, with amazing conservativeness, that makes me able without any difficulty to understand 95% a Greek text that is written 2000 years old...) is something that none can't deny in modern Greeks' identity. PS. And even I would like to believe that Albanians are descedants of Illyrians, there aren't any prooves...just some indication...give me an....illyrian text...read it...and understand it as modern shqip...and then i'll believe...
