shuddup bozo.
You come in here as a gamer geek at 17. Then the talentless actor at JUNIOR (LMAO) college (who btw was more reasonable). Now you're some kind of pseudo-intelectual w/ an ASSOCIATES degree that wants jihad on Greece.
Who are you kidding anyway? 3 years from now you will either slip further into madness or re-invent yourself again.
You can have your gyros AFTER you two finish cleaning my damn toilet.

Maybe I'm wrong but, if that's what outsiders grouped you as, it is a foreign name. And what did Albanians back then call themselves? Arbanoi? Does that have any sort of meaning in Albanian?
in middle ages the was no such thing as a common national ideology, you had albanian speaking tribes and principalities like muzaka, balshaj, topiaj etc.
arbanoi were the biggest tribe and the ruling tribe of most of the land inhabited by alb speaking people, and outsidered came to refer to us by the biggest tribe at the time, its not a foreign term.
not sure about the meaning in albanian, doesn't really strike a chord, must be latin i'd say, alba and arba are synonymous the r and l in albanian are interchangable, alba means down, place of light, lit up, light.

I dont have an associates degree... What's a junior college?
And as for re-invent? No no, this guy is for good, pimplekunt.
And you know what turned me off of acting? It wasnt that i wasnt good, I like to write plays still... in fact Im writing an Albanian-themed play right now. It was a 6'4, 240 lbs Greek named Xristos, who I had to work with. This guy was quite possibly the most effeminate person I had up to that point met. The way he moved his hand, the way he spoke... and the fact that he would get drunk a 2:30 in the afternoon because apparently he had huge emotional issues. This guy, on an occassion when I was invited with the rest of the crew to some party, explained to everyone how painful it was when he lost his virginity while on a trip to Greece. Me and another kid realized that we were the only ones disgusted by what we were hearing, while the rest laughed hysterically. The next day we dropped out of the class, and ignored all the people we knew in that department, particularly Xristos...
This, I swear on everything, is the truth, the complete truth.

Yes. Albanians called themselves Arbër and the country - Arbëria.
Okay, and does it have an Albanian meaning?
Changing your ethnic name is quite an unusual way to show your 'appreciation'
Germans never called themselves 'Germans', but Deutsch, which is an evolution of the germanic root 'Tewt', meaning 'Tribe' or "The people"
And Croats never named their country Croatia or their people Croats, instead it was given by outsiders.

Ar is a root for agriculture in PIE. Its present in a number of languages, particularly Greek and Latin. Grk: Arotaw = to plough, farm, aroton = plough. Arable comes from it. One guess I have heard of Arber is in relation to that. Personally, I dont believe it.
Thats because German is a Latin derived term. It has a double meaning, Germanus, in Latin, also means 'brother'.

Nothing has changed. Albanians are still called Albanians and we call ourselves Shqiptar.

Zoti thank you....for you I have a nice German chocolate forest cake with cherries on top. Custards are too nasty. Anyway, enjoy!
bozo-bey FYI, 'acting', dancing and entertainment in general draws a lot of homosexuals just as it did you, you closeted queen. What would Fatos think if his only son was queer?

Ok, but my questions are: If the Albanians haven't been calling themselves Shqiptaret forever, what before then? Why would the Albanians be calling themselves before medieval times a name that was foreign to them, when that is the complete unnatural thing for any group of people to do?

He would take it easier than I would. He is more liberal than I am. Compared to him, I am a jihadist. He married a kaur woman afterall...
Actually, just one in that group: Xristos. The rest were just lame lame people. Seriously lame. Dancing is definitely gay, but acting... now thats sad, especially since plays can really be philosophical works that explore the human genius.... But all those people liked was "Rent"... and stupid crap like that. Its no wonder the greatest of plays today are only read, not acted...

ok, but there still had to be a common name for these people who all spoke a common language
And if they were a domestic tribe their origins are most likely foreign.
Yes, it's undoubtedly of Latin or Greek origin
