Greece = 40% East Mediterranean, 25% Dinaricized Mediterranean, 20% Alpine (most common in Epirus), 10% Dinaric, 5% NordishNice one...i think he is about right, but i don't think that the nordish is so high...if they mean just blond that doesn't mean nordish right? And the alpine must be higher. From those i've seen, Serbs must be the most mediterranean from all balkanians except Greeks. Many Vardarovskis look med too. My stereotype for Bulgarians though is blondie types.

You are wrong, Patrinos. Bulgarians are not blond. I ve been many times in Northern Greece. There is no difference there at least, maybe there is difference in the southern part of Greece.

I would generally say that the blond type is rather rare among balkanians. Its pretty common among young Balkanians though (the darker blond type especially).
The Bulgarians I know are usually dark haired...brown haired...dark blond...just like Macedonians in average.

The avars were absorbed by the magyars when they arrived. What you wrote above still doesn't prove that serbs have mixed with avars ;D ;D ;D ;D....unlike the Bulgars who ofcourse have mixed with pechengs, bulgars, cumans, avars etc...hence the 5% turanid lmao

"The Bulgarians I know are usually dark haired...brown haired...dark blond...just like Macedonians in average."
Its because of the Pontid race, the Pontid race is even noticed in S.E serbia.

The avars were absorbed by the magyars when they arrived. Not only, at least if we believe Administrando Impreio where it is contained the information about the serbian settlement on the bolkans. on the contrary. first, both croatia and serbia were former avar lands, with direct avar governnance. second, if croatians fought the avars and even in that case many avars left in that land and according to the book written by the emperor, there was a mixture between the avars and the croats, so of course we can conclude that even more avars were left in Serbia, because the serbs didnt fight them, they just came and settled among them. So the Serbs must have even more Avar blood. The Cumans played the same role in Serbia as they did in Bulgaria too: According to some historians Cumans were the founders of three successive Bulgarian dynasties (Asenids, Terterids, and Shishmanids), and the Wallachian dynasty (Basarabids)."[4] However, in the case of the Asenids and Basarab dynasties, all Medieval documents refer to them as Vlach (Romanian) dynasties[5], so most historians attribue a Romanian origin to the dynasties.[6] They also played an active role in Byzantium, Hungary, and Serbia, with Cuman immigrants being integrated into each country's elite. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CumansYour king Stefan Dragutin was married to Catherine, daughter of the Hungarian king. Catherines mother was Elisabeth, daughter of the Cuman chief SEYHAN for more see here: books.google.co.uk/books?id=8C6P3PYaPmQC&pg=PA99&lpg=PA99&dq=cumans+Serbia&source=bl&ots=0A6-ZAwrq1&sig=uis6BA1suzCB0cF27V5BUNKhh88&hl=bg&ei=jMwNS7eDLJj-mQPPoMTcBQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CBAQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=cumans%20Serbia&f=falseSo we have direct evidance of your kings dinasty having kuman blood, at least through marriage. Dragutin actually faught with Cuman troops in 1276 in Gacko against his father Urosh, because he refused to make him a king in his lifetime (according to Danilos chronicle). After this Dragutin became a king of Serbia. Its also written that Serbs often used Cuman troops in military campaines, including against bulgarians. In 1311 Milutin used Tatars and Turks forces against his brother Dragutin. and so on... for more Cumans and Tatars: Oriental military in the pre-Ottoman Balkans, 1185-1365 §à§ä Istv¨¢n V¨¢s¨¢ry books.google.co.uk/books?id=8C6P3PYaPmQC&pg=PA99&lpg=PA99&dq=cumans+Serbia&source=bl&ots=0A6-ZAwrq1&sig=uis6BA1suzCB0cF27V5BUNKhh88&hl=bg&ei=jMwNS7eDLJj-mQPPoMTcBQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CBAQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=cumans%20Serbia&f=false

^ still doesn't prove anything, individuals can marry anyone. The central asian gene is absent plus serbia doesn't have a turanid race within its racial pool ;D
whereas in Bulgaria, the central asian race turanid is found and with its associated gene ;D
I wonder at what frequency is the mongol spot in Bulgaria. European average is at 10%.

Ioan, you are in no mental position to judge your superiors, unless you manage to do/say something of YOUR OWN MIND, if you have one. Your theories about Slavs in Greece were so mutually-canceling that i really don't know what to expect from you any more. We can go through the previous page, step by step, if you want, if you have the guts to admit your idiocy and be a better thinker.

Ladies and Gentlemen we present you IOAN THE SCHOLAR:!! During the 6th century various Slavic tribes began raids that lasted intermittently through the tenth century. According to the opinions of reliable historians, the Slavs were nomadic peoples, and, in time, were absorbed by the local population. You probably had, but they were assimilated. There were though lots of records indicating that slavs lived in greece (even southern part) till they were assimilated. except that Epirus is a rugged and mountainous region. it is proven that slavs loved the vallies, the mountains were slavised gradually, if there were lots of slavic settlements in the vallies. thats not a new teory, its pretty old and among the more accepted: that slavs took mainly the vallies, the old balkanic people moved to the mountains and later were slaviced. thats prooven by the vlachs and the karakatchans who maintained their latin and greek speech in the mountains, being mainly shepards. most of the vlachs were shepards meaning living away from vallies and agricultural land. i ve seen other genetic studies of the bulgarians where turanid is missing, for example this study: Turkish Press in Bulgaria: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turks_in_Bulgaria

I ll say just one thing to you Pyrro: FUCK OFF I actually stated FACTS (something you the brainwashed "person" can not handle and ignore to comment because it doesnt suite your IMAGINARY position ON balkan history). I PREFER not to "say something of YOUR OWN MIND" as you do often, because your RESEARCHES and CONCLUSIONS contradict FACTS and RESEARCHES OF PEOPLE who have studied balkan history whole their life. In addition, I prefer to be a rational person (which means respecting facts) . The only thing you are superior to me is your BIG IMAGINATION. But that doesnt have anything to do with facts. Bye, have a nice life.

So the TURKS in Bulgaria (NOT THE BULGARIANS) think they are TURAN. Physically - I dont think so. Politically, its logical they think so, because according to the Turkish history all the Turks came from Cental Asia where turanid race is dominating. I do not get what u are trying to proove here. That the Bulgarian turks think they are turan? I am not surprised.

ANYWAYS, idiot, do you realize that you wrote that: a) The Slavs slavicized and assimilated the locals (Greeks-Vlahs-Albos) (even some of those hiding in the mountains) AND b) The Slavs were absorbed by the locals DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU WROTE IDIOT, (while trying to explain the Slav toponyms in Greece but lack of Slav speakers.) Frankly, i dont consider you worth of reading.... you stupid failure! You showed that for you skewing and raping the truth just in one page is not a big problem.... IDIOT, HOW CAN YOU DARE AND WRITE YOUR BS IN FRONT OF US when your little f**ked up brain is full of holes? PS If you were a scientist of logic (Computer Scientist/Programmer, or other Enginner) you wouldn't make it more than one day employed.... Your BS wouldn't work in action! Of course for law-related jobs, sodomizing the truth is the main subject ;D So i guess you are gonna be good at your job!! provided the judges are equally idiotic as your self!
