I just found a video of Pivo Fest 2010. The only video that matters. Damn I should have been there, lol. Balkan girls are the best. Especially that one at the very end when she drinks the beer and smiles at the camera.

Hey fossil, do you know what is happening to the Museum at the moment? Are they rendering it in red or something? It's difficult to see on the web cam.

We have stopped posting pictures here because apart from myself and fossil, nobody else seems to care. If you want to follow the development of Macedonia, I recommend the following two forums. All of the pictures in this thread are from the site below. www.build.com.mk/forum/www.skyscrapercity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1376

I think its not worth it, spending all those moneys on sculptures and buildings when the economy of the whole country is dying. Better make renovation to the economy and then to other things. If a country has a strong economy it can make a hundred of buildings like these.

...spending all those moneys on sculptures and buildings when the economy of the whole country is dying. The economy is not dying, it died many years ago. It's actually improving lately and all these projects are an effort to kick start things by providing the people some jobs and improving the city for tourists. Think of all this money spending as an investment in the future.

Yeah but the building sector it is in a high level of development, the building companies from macedonia are very wanted in the balkan region. But what we need is to put a little more attention on agriculture and give them a boost coz the roots of a strong economy are the agriculture businesses. We are talking for more than 200 million euros investments on buildings, c'mon how many years will be needed to put those moneys back from the tourism your suggesting. And we also need more attention to the multi-ethnic tensions and euro-integration.

Hi everyone. It's time for an update I think. Construction in Skopje is still steaming ahead at full blast. Most of the buildings that were planned for the SKopje 2014 project have been started now, only two buildings are yet to begin. And some are almost finished. I'll start with the new airport. It will be ready in a month or two.

The statue and fountain in the middle of the city square (not very popular here, I'm sure) is also only another month away from completion. But, it does look good.

The Archaeological Museum is still another twelve months before being complete I would also guess. It's a stunning looking building though.
