And some more new projects have been announced in the last few months. This building and the one above will be built right next to each other. This will be in the city. Construction has begun I believe. And construction on this has already begun.

It looks like a mosque One question for you: do you really think Macedonia need this, and has the money for it? Couldn't this money be used for more urgent purposes? ... It's tax payers money and what's done, is done. They can't stop now. But something had to be done for Skopje. Two years ago, Skopje still looked exactly like it looked 30 years ago. Nothing had been built or renovated for far too long. So all the road and side walk renovations, the new airport, etc definitely had to be done. The only question is whether these expensive buildings and statues should have been built. In my opinion, the statues should definitely NOT have been built. They look nice and all but like everyone keeps saying, they should have spent that money on other more important issues. The government could also have built cheaper modern style glass buildings/skyscrapers but, they went for quality over quantity, and that's difficult to argue against. I'm glad they chose quality though. Only time will tell if the money was spent wisely. But I'm happy that Skopje is progressing. If all they were building was statues and Government buildings, they you could argue it shouldn't be done. But, there is plenty more being done apart from that. There are also new hospitals and things like that too. And other cities in Macedonia are getting a renovation as well, not just Skopje.
