rex 500,00 arvanites is greatly over exaggerated. The 410 Arvanitochori in the geographical distribution was distributed in 1907: 1. In the province of Attica 50 villages with a population of 46,105 people. 2. In the province Megaridos 9 villages with a population of 15,341 people. 3. In the province of Aegina 4 villages with a population of 1,180 people. 4. In the province of Thebes 48 villages with a population of 30,898 people. 5. In the province Lokridos 11 villages with a population of 7,073 people. 6. In the province Levadeias 11 villages with a population of 4,841 people. 7. In the province of Corinth 61 villages with a population of 31,759 people. 8. In Argolis province 19 villages with a population of 8,674 people. 9. In the province Ermionida 8 villages with a population of 15,560 people. 10. In the province Nafplias 16 villages with a population of 5,933 people. 11. In the province Troizinias 19 villages with a population of 15285 people. 12. In the province Karystias 53 villages with a population of 13,299 people. 13. In the province of Andros 17 villages with a population of 5,227 people. 14. In the province Trifylia 17 villages with a population of 10,512 people. 15. In the province of Patras 31 villages with a population of 7,988 people. 16. In the province of Kalavryta village with a population of 981 people. 17. In the province of Mantinea a village with a population of 1,207 people. 18. In the province of Ilia 17 villages with a population of 6,303 people. 19. In Lacedaemon province 17 villages with a population of 10,773 people. At that time, around 230,000. today? probably 250,000 because of low fertility. So in reality, Arvanites make up around 2% of the Greek population... POW

The Greeks were defending Constantinople during those times... plus the crusaders... where were the Albanians? If I have to go any earlier there was NO SIGN of you anywhere... now thats a POW!!! The smaller states on the map used to be Principalities of Arbers. FYI: Constantinople (Byzantine Empire)already fell since the end of the Fourth Crusade. (where the western forces fought against the Byzantine) Do not take so much pride on the crusades because it was the crusades themselves the reason that weakened the Byzantine Empire. Byzantine Empire was part only of the first ( Crusade of 1101) and the second crusade ( Second Crusade). You talk as if Byzantine empire was a Greek empire which in fact was not. It was no different form the other empires composed by multi ethnicity, and multi cultural ism. And Arbers were part of the Byzantine empire during the crusades. Since you are so knowledgeable on crusades can you please tell me the name of the Greek fighters that organized and fought alongside crusades? No Albanians back then.... they hadn't come down from the mountain tops...so how would you know?

you have to put yourself in the perspectives of the times back then ... Took you long enough to realise that, funny how you finally come to this conclusion only when it serves your motivation.

You still failed to show me the name of those fierce Greek fighters that went on crusades! - and that makes me wonder! Well was there any? The only Greek names you can find is only of those ones who actually fought AGAINST the crusades; the Fourth Crusade which was the turning point of the Byzantine Empire. I found some interesting facts about the name Progon: Progon may refer to:
Persecuted by Slavs and ancestors of Greeks.

Funny how you still have the guts to discuss with Albanians without acknowledging the atrocities committed in Northern Albania only a decade ago.

ahahahah rex jumps from topic to topic because he is wrong half the time He jumps topic to topic just so he can spread more and more propaganda for his young Albanian fans who are more prone to brainwashing than any other ethnic group here. He's not here to convince us - he already knows he has no chance.

This is just a tiny fraction.... I know you're a bright fellow... so I don't understand your comments above. this sounds like a propaganda piece to me, i didn't say ottoman soldiers, i said albanians, those were same soldiers who fought against ali pasha who protected greeks and albanians alike and had an army made up of greeks and albanians, those very same soldiers were called upon to supress countless albanian rebellions against zylyftar poda and cerciz topulli and many others in the 17 and 18 hundreds, i'm not talking about ottomans, their armies were comprised of albs, serbs and greeks. you chose not to distinguish in concepts because your entire history is driven from an anti muslim perspective. the term albanian is used gratuitously in your historical texts to villify us and used as a propaganda to sway the arvanites and make them hate their own skin to the point where they'd abandon their identity and pick up a sham of a new identity. how i wish that was the case.
