May not be completely appropriate but this made me chuckle.

For weeks now I've been trying to figure out what the styling of this building being built in Skopje reminds me of: And I've finally stumbled on it, the building on the far end in the photo below from Split, Croatia.

macedoniaonline.eu/content/view/15068/1/Qatar to invest in MacedoniaTuesday, 01 June 2010 The office of the Qatar Emir will receive some twenty projects related to investments in construction of hotels, shopping centres, filling stations and petrol depot in Macedonia by the end of June. This has been agreed by Macedonian President Dorde Ivanov and Emir of Qatar Hamad bin Kalifa Al Tani at the meeting held within the framework of the 10th Forum in Doha. They concluded that economic relations should focus on the cooperation between the two countries. The Emir of Qatar will personally entrust Qatar investment organs with the task of dealing with investment possibilities in Macedonia for the purpose of enhancing political and economic relations. Furthermore, the Emir plans to open Qatar embassy in Macedonia.

you can find such apperance such among Albanians, North Italians and others mountains people like Montengrins, Bosnaks more little among Croats even Serbs and West Greeks......but rare is among East Balcans like Macedonians, Bulgarians and Greeks.....which in apperance are more close with Western-Central Turks. Another thing, Macedonia is in the west Balkans, not the east. And in fact, Albania is the only country that doesn't belong to be grouped with the western Balkans group because of their different culture and language to the rest of the former Yugo countries. And I have to ask, do you actually see Macedonians as Turk like? I find this fascinating because Macedonians see you as Turk like. I'm not saying that you are correct or that Macedonians are correct, I just find it interesting how two countries right next to each other can see the opposite as the exact same thing.

Finally, a web-cam for Skopje that works. That's going straight to my favorites. Thanks.

Maybe it's not Albanians who look Turkish, maybe it's the Turks who look Albanian, but I actually agree with this thread. Not for all Albanians of course but very many. And I will fully concede that some Macedonians look Turkish too so don't think this is me looking down on Albanians or anything. More Albanians. More typical looking Albanian heads.

Albanian noses. Look at the guy on the phone. These pictures are all from Google Earth. Don't get me wrong, you can find these noses all over the Balkans but they are very common in Albanians.

Nikola it is called "Dinaric type" even tipycall, you can find such apperance such among Albanians, North Italians and others mountains people like Montengrins, Bosnaks more little among Croats even Serbs and West Greeks......but rare is among East Balcans like Macedonians, Bulgarians and Greeks.....which in apperance are more close with Western-Central Turks. I don't buy that. Albanian noses are different from other Dinarics and look more middle eastern. Nice try to align yourself with with Bosnians an Croats btw, but it's not working with me.

I believe they are about to begin construction on "The Eye Bridge". The end result should look like the 3d render below. The white bridge at the bottom of the screen. Construction of the bridge? The large mound of earth on the far right.

From my experience, there are two major characteristics that Albanians have that make them stand out from the rest of the Balkan people. One is head shape. They usually have unusual shaped heads that look bulbous at the forehead and blocky from some angles. The picture below shows this really well. A very Albanian looking head. And two (which makes them look Turkish in the eyes of some) are those middle eastern looking noses. These noses are very common I think and have a very non-European look.

Actually he says he is Macedonian bulgarofil or are you denying him his right of self indentification? As for his parents being Bulgarian (if they are), it doesnt mean he is not Macedonian, he says that Macedonians are new nation that once had common history with the Bulgarians... So technically all Macedonians had Bulgarian origin en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ljubčo_GeorgievskiOn July 14, 2006 it was announced that Ljubčo Georgievski applied for and was granted Bulgarian citizenship on the basis that his parents are Bulgarians and that he has a Bulgarian national identity. This was confirmed by an official of the Bulgarian President's Office.

Well of course you Bulgarians agree with him since he is advocating your claims.
And he IS Bulgarian, both his parents are Bulgarian which makes him Bulgarian.

Ljubco Georgievski is a Bulgarian. Nobody in Macedonia agrees with anything he says.
