I can't believe Byzantine writers wrote so much about every one but nothing about the Albanians... why is that? Maybe might be the same reason why Homer never mentioned such words as Greek or Greece when he wrote Iliad and Ulysses. Of course not you douchbag.... we didn't call ourselves Greeks then, the Romans 500 years later named us that... we always called ourselves Hellens... now fuk off.

Of course not you douchbag.... we didn't call ourselves Greeks then, the Romans 500 years later named us that... we always called ourselves Hellens... now fuk off. Hellenes were inhabitants of Hellas (land of fair women). Being Hellenes does not associate one with Greek race, language, genes, or ethnicity. Greeks were not Hellenes. There were no Greeks (Ionians) during the Trojan War. Greeks came later as Ionians. And Ionians were Semitic. Achaeans were before Ionains. Assimilated Hellenes, Dorians, Acheans, and Pelasgians were latter called Greeks. Ionians brought Semitic alphabet (Phoenicians), and philosophy from other Semitic tribes. But they also borrowed some philosophies form the "barbarians". The inhabitants of Sparta had Doric origin, they were called Spartans because they lived on Sparta. Leonidas was a Dorian living in Sparta. Hellenes does not mean Greek. Hellenes means inhabitants of Hellas. It is the same concept with the Slavic Macedonians nowadays. Macedonia is just the name of a region, but this won't change the fact of its habitats being Slavs.

Go hump someone's elses leg Albanian. This is considered a very vague answer, considering the fact that it comes form a Greek.

It allows Albanians to claim Ancient Greek costume but not the Ancient Greek's descendants, "modern" Greeks? What kind of logic is this?
When Greeks wore this, Albanians did not exist. It's origins are clearly Greek and this was invented by Greeks, if Albanians steal something, it doesn't become theirs. Stop trying to rewrite history with Propaganda and lies. Foustanella is a Greek costume used as the national dress of Greece and ADOPTED by Albanians.
We emphasize once again; Faith and Fatherland will win. The Manifested enemies of Christianity and Greece will crash. Cassock and Foustanela who created the blue and white flag, keep pace forever. And since this compound is unbroken, if our people will be inspired and guided by the Orthodox faith of our fathers, Greece will live gloriously. Woe to such nations that the fight a Greece!
Invaluable services offered in the Greek homeland the Cassock and Foustanella !
And the holy tradition of indissoluble link religion and homeland, which requires a Greek priest to be a champion and facilitator of the nobility in favor of law and freedom struggles of Greece, was not extinguished in our nation. The humble priests robe continues today and the glorious history and daily sacrifices proves to be at the side of militant people. In about three hundred numbered priests, slaughtered as sacrificial lambs in, because they were neither to deny the Christian Religion or the Fatherland. The enemies of Greece not hated nothing so much as the Greek clergy. Because they know that beneath the robe lies the heart of Christian Greece, which beat and seek to eradicate.
The cassock myriad hidden and humble priests, monks, and spread over the people as our witness the celestial light, like the two-headed eagle wings. It is no exaggeration to say that without the robe would be impossible to dawn on the horizon of the Greek homeland, March 25, 1821. And when the dawn March 25, 1821, the first robe given the "present." This is not to mention the names of all those priests who throughout the course of the 7-year epic struggle stood valuable facilitators and supporters of the struggling nation. Only one detail, which reveals the link clergy and laity in the sacred struggle would mention. Papaflessas, the fiery cleric he who closed the entire volcano breasts patriotism, had entered Tripoli and spoke about the purpose of the sacred race. In a moment of speaking, fascinated by sacred enthusiasm, asks flag for the race. But which brand? Papaflessas inspired and construct immediately. How? Rips blue Cassock and a soldier named Kefalas, ripping two strips from Foustanela. With the strips formed Cross, whom sew in robes cleric and thus made the blue and white, in which another clergyman, the glorious hero of Alamana, Athanasios Diakos added the slogan "Freedom or Death". Cassock and Foustanela, clergy and people marched united inseparably to create free Greece. And created it.

For the definition of what a Hellene constituted, read Herodotus. Dorians were Hellenes, too. And no, a Hellene did not mean an inhabitant of Hellas. There were many people foreigners living in Greece, for instance in Athens, and they were viewed as foreigners and not as Greek. Look into Pericles' controversial law of citizenship where he stripped hundreds of Athenians of citizenship because they were only half Athenian. Greeks were very particulate of their lineage, in those days. You are an uneducated fool and you bring shame to Albania.
