It's spelled - ësi, and it is a common suffix, compare to the word lartësi 'height' from the root lartë 'high'. Malësi, or Malësia in the definite article, simply means 'highlands', thus you have Malësia e Madhe ('Great Highlands'), Malësia e Gjakovës ('Highlands of Gjakova'), Malësia e Tetovës ('Highlands of Tetova') etc. I see. I wasn't really sure if there was an etymological relation between the words so I had to find out. They were close in pronunciation so it seemed plausible to me. Very interesting though. Hence the importance of not jumping into conclusions ,, esp. when you don't speak the language and debate with people who do

Vojvodina declare independence now that is funny. I'm assuming Sandzak's is possible then? Also remember Kosova's independence as real as it is it's still funny to you so you must check your faulty sense of humour.

Nope, Sandzak is split between independent Montenegro and independent Serbia... And Kosovo's independent still isn't real....they don't have a UN seat, nor even a UEFA-approved football team.... Making educated assumptions is part of the research process, albanians here would sell their left nut to rid themselves of affiliation with Serbs so what I did was understandable

And Kosovo's independent still isn't real....they don't have a UN seat, nor even a UEFA-approved football team... You do have a point there. Soon Kosova and Albania will join into one country though. It's funny how you and Serbs consider yourselves brothers but chose not to live with each other. Albanians on the other hand want to live together yet the powers that be won't allow us. Ironic isn't it?

I look at it like Italy and Sicily (if independent), seperate-but one.
Albanians were really never united until maniacal power-hungry leaders forced everyone to work together, mostly for just the ruler's benefit...

^Well that's why I put in parentheses "if independent", another example would be let's say Arab countries...they pretty much see themselves as one people, but have what like 14 countries?

I live in vojvodina, you can dream all you want but its there's no chance. So many refugees from HR and Bosna change the demographics. Any autonmous people (like myself and my family) are outnumbered. Obviously I'm not for independence, only autonomy (so Belgrade doesn't steal from Vojvodina like they do from the south). You take away a power hungry belgrade, and you have vojvodina, central serbia, and monetnegro in one country serbia.
But back to vojvodina, I don't see it happening.

"let's not even talk about novi who can't make a single sentence in Serbian, but still can explain what are the differences between Serbian, Nasenski (Gorani) and Bulgarian, and why Nasenski is Serbian and not Bulgarian, when from the point of view of the majority of Gorani-speakers from Albania, who kept the true form of Nasenski (not like their Kosovo's cousins), this language is a Macedo-Bulgarian dialect (among them, Nazif Dokle and his brother)."
The name Srbin is taboo in Albania, if one says *BuLgarin* his miminally accepted in this aggressive paranoid society!.
PS Torlakian is wayyyyyy different to BuLgarski lang, its a second serbian language ;D

Honestly I don't dream of Vojvodina's independence. My dream of a free Kosova has been realized. Now I just want the two countries to join in one Albania and I'll be happy. The name Srbin is taboo in Albania, if one says *BuLgarin* his miminally accepted in this aggressive paranoid society!. What does Srbin mean?

You are right, Pazar doesn't. He speaks only English, with funny exclamation marks at that. No one puts a full stop after an exclamation mark but Pazar.
Pazar, you are far more acquainted with the mating rituals of wambats than any Balkan language. Actually, you don't speak any of them. So spare us you insights, will you?

And what part of your body did you sell just a few months ago that could explain your turn in ideas? His kidney I presume.

"Bulgarians have name days, vardarians can have slava's depending on the region and name days, montenegrins have slava's but Albanians don't!."
I don't know about Albanians today, but it could of been pre-1912.
